• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do you think dealerships should offer some compensation/discounts ??

I was talking to my dealer last week. They are in quite a cash flow bind. They can't get inventory, can't collect on the sales of products that have shipped but are awaiting parts, but they have to buy all the accessories that go with the products but can't really sell them because the...

2017 F3-L Rear Tire Change - what's the axle hole dia?

I thought the same thing. Bought the Harbor Freight tire changer. DO NOT DO IT!!! Wicked pain in the butt to use and you will scratch up your rim. Remove the wheel yourself and bring it to a tire shop. Town Fair Tire did mine no charge as I bought the tires from them.

Exhaust question - how will it sound without the cap on the baffle?

I use a permutation of this method. Make a loop of paracord about 3 or 4 ft long. Laying on the ground, hook one end on the spring and put your foot through the other end and push with your foot. Your legs are a lot stronger than your arms.

    Aftermarket shocks - maintenance

I've had a perfect experience so far with my Elka Stage 5 rear shock on my 2020 F3S. Approaching 17,000 miles on it. Being a Stage 5 it is their top of the line shock and probably has better seals and construction than a Stage 2 for example. I do believe in most cases "you get what you pay...

LOL that's exactly what I told my wife the F3 sounded like and why I had to buy a cat delete!

    A Special Announcement

Congratulations! But anytime I hear someone announcing that they are getting married, I have to impart my Dad's words of wisdom: "Son, there are two kinds of men in this world. Smart Men --- and Married Men!" Mom and Dad are in their 90's and have been married for 74 years I think. I'm...

How many 2022 Spyders Coming?? Shout if you've ordered/got one!

I feel sorry for you guys. I ordered my 2020 F3S-SS in January 2020 just before Covid hit. Who knew? Was supposed to be delivered in early March 2020. Covid hits, the plant closes for a while and no shipments from Canada. I had to wait until mid April before it arrived - and that was...

    April 2022 Weather News

Here in Connecticut it was beautiful yesterday in the low 70's. Went out for a lunch time ryde, stopped by the local municipal golf course and got my first ever season pass. Then did a short 30 mile ride around local roads. Today is supposed to hit 80 and I'll be out again.

Anyone modified an a/mkt Driver Backrest for extended rearward travel? 2017 F3T

I have the Lamonster driver's backrest for my F3. It has an adjustment screw for the backrest position. And it has a sturdy mounting bracket.

Does Eco mode really make a difference?

I have found ECO mode to be helpful to use in stop and go traffic and city driving. Other than that I never use it.

Dealer service calls for new rear tire & brake pads - does this sound right?

I was able to easily replace my rear brake pads using a regular pair of needle nose pliers as the tool. Insert the tips into the holes in the caliper piston, push in and turn clockwise.

Anybody used My Genius from Monster Fuel Injection?

Yes I have one. It works as advertised. It's easy to change tunes as desired. It plugs into the Can-Bus connector and then you choose which tune you want to work with and follow the directions. I can switch between stock, Stage 1 and Stage 2. I'm really happy with Stage 2 the bike is much...

    Wilber shocks anyone ?

Troop what you've done is almost exactly what I did on my 2020 F3S-SS right when I got it 2 years ago. I put an Elka Stage 5 with hydraulic preload adjuster in. Your weight specs are very close to mine it's somewhat spooky. I do however ride 2-up occasionally with my wife and the adjuster...

    Helmet sound for sled heads

We're using the UClear Motion Infinity sets on both our sled and Spyder helmets. They have really good speakers. The microphones are hidden and the noise reduction is outstanding.

Is your spyder shaking, start with the belt tensioner. Now on to Tires!

IMHO, most of the issues described at the speeds mentioned sound like wind buffeting to me. But there is also the likelihood of multiple issues happening at the same time. Wind buffeting along with unbalanced or defective tires, some belt vibrations added in... I would make sure the tires do...

    Good ride with wife today

My wife enjoys riding as passenger. I always drive easy with her onboard and try not to scare her. If she knew how I drive when I'm alone she'd make me get rid of the Spyder!

F3 Black Painted Plastic Scratches - any fixes?

I haven't done this to mine (yet), but the process would be as in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiWMi80O0TM

What 36mm wrench to remove rear tire?

I have 2 twelve point sockets. I've had the rear wheel off/on and axle loosened a few times for tire change and belt adjustments. No sign of the nut getting rounded. I will add that for $125 for the tire change I would now pay that rather than doing it myself!
