• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why would I have this Front wheel shake on a 2011 RT??

Cord separation can do the same thing. It will be interesting to discover the cause of this one.

Can the Spyder's battery be changed to lithium? Pro's & Con's?

Precise dimensions are given for batteries. It is a good idea to check size before purchasing.

Why is my Tire pressure so low?!

Frankly, I prefer a good digital gauge. Any gauge can go bad. It could have been nothing more than weak batteries in your gauge. People tend to underestimate the importance of tire pressure on a Spyder/Ryker. Front tire pressure is fairly critical on a Spyder. And it is just as important to get...

2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

Advice taken. There are good dealiers out there with good mechanics. We all know this. But this being said, the negative responses you have been getting have, unfortunately, been well earned. You have people here who both care about you, and sympathize with your situation. It's just advice, it's...

Why would I have this Front wheel shake on a 2011 RT??

Too bad you had the canister replaced. One of the best moves you can make on a 2008-2012 is to get rid of that canister altogether. It's nothing but a dangerous headache.

Why would I have this Front wheel shake on a 2011 RT??

Loose or damaged ball joints. Also, check your A-Arm bushings. Those need to be lubed fairly often. But most never do, so they wear and get sloppy.

Can the Spyder's battery be changed to lithium? Pro's & Con's?

A good point. That is why you need to get a "smart lithium" battery with a built-in BMS (Battery Management System). This is basicially a built in converter which delivers the correct DC voltage and current that the lithium battery needs. Not necessarily needed. Just better. If you're replacing...

Can the Spyder's battery be changed to lithium? Pro's & Con's?

Pros of a Lithium Battery: 1-Much Lighter 2-Typically more power 3-Will give you 100% of it's rating until it's nearly dead (Lead Acid will start to fall off of it's rated capacity almost as soon as it starts discharging) 4-Life span is usually better than Lead Acid if maintained well 5-Self...

Recommend any Rear shock replacements other than the $$$ Elka's??

As CrazyCooter states. There is one simple hand turn click knob that adjusts both appropriately at the same time. This is one of the things we looked for specifically.

Can the Spyder's battery be changed to lithium? Pro's & Con's?

A battery is a battery. The ECU doesn't know, or care, where the juice is coming from. It only cares that the voltage is correct and if there is enough of it. The Spyder is power greedy so it pays to get a good battery. A lithium battery will work just fine if you follow the advice given above.

    Define "Old"

Someone told me once that 'Old is just a frame of mind'. I told him, 'No, it's more than that. Because I can feel it in my bones!' But fortunately. Old doesn't mean you can't ride!

You Don't Know What You've Got Till It's Gone

I don't know. I'm thinking late 2006 or sometime in 2007. Just before we went with Can-Am Spyders. Lamont got his in December of 2007. I got mine in January of 2008. Man! We both loved our M109R's. It took a lot to get us off of them. Yes, I must admit that I've aged a little since then...

You Don't Know What You've Got Till It's Gone

Lamont just sent me this picture. He was all the time taking pictures when we rode. I don't think I ever did. Now I'm sorry because he's holding the camera instead of being in the picture himself. The M109R (The Beast) is my all time favorite 2-Wheeled machine. You can see Lamont's own custom...

2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

I agree. This could very well be a single source creating all the drama. You would think the dealership would look to voltage issues as a first possibility. Bad batteries are well known for creating this kind of scenario. Low voltage can give the ECU a stroke. Which means you can't trust...

2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

American Lemon Laws generally apply to all vehicles sold in the United States, regardless of their country of origin. Lemon laws apply to vehicles sold or leased within a given jurisdiction. Check with your state for how a lemon law, if they have one, can be accessed. BRP has to comply to sell...
