• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I grabbed a Adobe Acrobat copy of the 2025 Spyder RT Operator's Guide from here: https://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/P/5 The Apple CarPlay information on Page 50 is the same as the 2024 Operator's Guide, although the page formatting is different: On Page 49 you'll find the Preferences...

Does anyone know the difference between the Spyder and Commander thermostats, besides the price?

One is designed to fit a Spyder, and the other is designed to fit a Commander!? And I'm pretty sure the engines are completely different, too.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took my Spyder for a ride before the thunderstorms arrived. Ran into a construction zone on one of the roads where they only had one lane open, and had flaggers controlling the flow of traffic. I had to stop and wait, and while I was sitting there the flagger told me I had a nice bike. I...

    Random thought for the day

The mountains... After all, isn't that what the Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky was named for? Start the day at the seashore, and then ride to the top of the mountains?

Apple CarPlay - the good, the bad, and the really ugly

Apple CarPlay works fine in my 2023 Honda Ridgeline. Only CAN-AMs implementation of CarPlay is giving me problems. Apple Maps are the default navigation choice, but CarPlay also supports Waze, Google Maps, and Sygic. And my CarPlay is current configured to use Google Maps, since Apple Maps...

Has anybody fitted Dual 5” Screens Instead of Analog Gauges to their Spyder? Any advice, suggestions, or concerns?

I used Google image search to find a picture of a 2014 RT Limited display. I was able to also find a 5" Carplay display, but they're square and the areas on the RT display are triangular. I'm not sure how you would get it to fit.

Making custom Linq gear - any ideas &/or specs, diagrams, etc to help?

My Spyder does not use the LinQ system, but from what I've found online, the LinQ top box should be easily removable. So remove the top box and let your fabricator see how it attaches to the bike so he can build the carrier to attach the same way.
