• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1st ride on the Snake after Helene

Today I rode "the Snake" US 421, and US 91. I rode the entire route, and the road is dang near perfect. Evidence of the lots of damaging wind fall. Lots of big Oaks down, but totally clear of the roads. The town of Damascus VA is open for business, but it'll be a while before it's back to...

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

I'm sure ya'll are quite tired of this vibration thread, but here's my latest observation. I've been traveling for the past 6+ weeks in our motorhome, and had plenty of time to read, and think about my next plan of attack on my vibration problem. Yesterday (a day after our return home) I put the...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I pulled the cover off of it after 6 weeks. Just got home after 6 weeks, 6,000 miles, and 15 campgrounds and RV Parks. I've got lots of work to do, but hopefully I'll get a ride in soon.

    Harley Trims Motorcycle Shipments

Yep! I agree with you. I'm 4,000 miles into our trip from E.TN to Nor-Cal with roughly 2,000 more to go, and all I have seen on I-26, I-24, I-70, and I-80 are Harleys. Not as many I've seen in the past, though.

    Northern Nevada Spyder Ryders

Just passed through Truckee and Reno in our motorhome. Heading home to E.TN after 30 days in Nor-Cal. That Hwy 20 would be fun on the Spyder.

Vredestein tire sizes from their web site

I run the Vredestein Quatrac 175/55/15 that you and your crew installed, and they stick to the road like glue. They absolutely look excellent as well. I doubt I will ever go to a different tire or size.

Rear axle nut cover fell off - doesn't 'snap' on! Anyone lost one?

Like I said earlier, a dab of RTV will secure it. Besides dirt/grime, it also protects the threads from being damaged.

Rear axle nut cover fell off - doesn't 'snap' on! Anyone lost one?

They keep the dirt and grime off the axle threads.

Rear axle nut cover fell off - doesn't 'snap' on! Anyone lost one?

Just put a Dab of RTV on the inside of the cover and put it back on. It won't fall off again, and it is easily removed. I have to do this with my lug nut covers in my RAM Dually.

What's best for Cleaning the Windshield? Anyone use Pledge?

That's good stuff. I just use the same spray on detailer I use on the rest of my bike. (Meguiar's) been using it for the past 30 years. I use it on my faceshield as well. Never had a scratch or any fogging or discoloration. I don't feel the need to use a specific cleaner, that probably cost more.

    BajaRon Motorcycle Gear Temporary 'Closure'?

Ron, I hope you, your family, your crew, and your shop are doing ok. I'm sitting here in California having to watch our area dig out and rebuild from what I can see on TV and what my youngest boy is relaying to us. It looks pretty bad. Our place was basically unaffected by the flooding...
