• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Uncle was hurt in this 2026 RTL Crash!

Good luck to your uncle! Head lacerations and road rash? Does your uncle ride with a helmet and protective gear, or not?

Rodents chose my 16 RTL as a home

This very thing has been discussed many times over at the CPAP forum. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewforum.php?f=1 Peppermint oil isn't supposed to be inhaled deep into your lungs, and it can be with a CPAP forcing that air into your lungs. I just googled this and google is in agreement. I...

    Happy 250th Birthday America!

Sorry, I don't agree with the bolded statement above. In fact, my wife tells me that this is a problem that I have. I expect more from people than I should and I'm almost always let down. She says not to expect too much, and you won't be let down. Easier to say than to do.

Rodents chose my 16 RTL as a home

I don't hesitate to use fast acting poison baits to kill rodents, but glue traps are, IMO, barbarous! Years ago, at work, they were placing these glue traps in various places inside of the building that I worked in. I walked into the loading dock on the way to my office one morning and I heard...

Rodents chose my 16 RTL as a home

Say what? You're using peppermint oil in your CPAP machine to keep the mice away? Where in/on your machine are you putting this oil? Please don't tell me that you're putting the oil in the water reservoir and that you're inhaling this? That's a HUGE no no. I've been using a CPAP for 15 years...

I like to travel light, wallet, keys, and my phone. They all fit in my pockets, and I don't have to worry about the possibility of forgetting my carry-on luggage.

    Happy 250th Birthday America!

While I most certainly appreciate your optimism, Ron, I had to fix your statement above. If only your statement was 100% true! Not everyone has an area of excellence and most certainly not everyone does their part to make the world better. Some just want to cause trouble for others, that's what...

I've been seeing guys wearing those cross-body bags a lot lately and I've been wondering WTF is up with that? They're like a fanny pack with a longer belt that goes around your shoulders. A 'man purse', if you will! 🤯

Outside or inside? If inside, place poison bait traps around the Spyder. If outside, dunno.

Audio Upgrade - Does anyone know what specific load the amp is looking for?

I went the other way for my Spyder audio. It's all in my helmet. Cardo System bike intercom that uses high-quality JBL drivers in the helmet. These sounds GREAT! It's like having a quality pair of headphones on, it's that good to my tired old ears anyway.

Audio Upgrade - Does anyone know what specific load the amp is looking for?

Sounds like the installers didn't like you picking their brains without getting compensation, one cannot blame them for this at all. If you know how to use a 'scope then it sounds like you're quite knowledgeable. I'm confused about this feedback you mentioned and that a 47-ohm resistor is...

Which Battery tender works best - OptiMate 3 or the Battery Tender Junior?

I've been using a Battery Tender Jr on all of my vehicles since 2015. I don't always get a chance to drive each vehicle as much as I'd like to, so I move the tender around between them all. Each gets 7 days on the tender before I move it to the next one. This has served me well over the years...

Audio Upgrade - Does anyone know what specific load the amp is looking for?

If you already know what the speaker's impedance is, 4 ohms, that's the load on the amp, per channel, right? Feedback? What? Can you elaborate on that?

Audio Upgrade - Does anyone know what specific load the amp is looking for?

Are there any markings on the speakers themselves that would indicate the impedance?

Audio Upgrade - Does anyone know what specific load the amp is looking for?

I know very little about the audio system on the Spyder, so please forgive this question. Are the speakers connected directly to the amp(s)? If so, you can measure the resistance of each speaker to determine the load. Yes, I know that measuring the resistance of a speaker with a DMM isn't...
