• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone have a better version of Saddle bag latches?

It's a 2015. No need for hip as it's the actual key part of the latches, they look to be the same as what you'd find on an office desk drawer other than the actual hook part. Very chinzy feeling when you insert the key even tho I hit 'em with powdered graphite. No cable, direct you turn the key...

Anyone have a better version of Saddle bag latches?

Anyone have a better version of the latches for the saddles bags on the F3T. The ones on mine I believe are stock and they're cheap and feel it

Is Ethanol Shield good for winter storage?

It doesn't really remove the water, it just binds with it and the fuel and allows it to pass thru your fuel system... at least, that's my take on it. :-) If you're not driving it, I still think a full tank is the best solution to prevent water in the first place. Maybe while driving, it'd be...

Any thoughts on this VSS Error & Limp Home Mode? Possibly the battery??

I don't have a lot of faith in those capacitance testers so I plan on taking it and doing and actual proper load test on it. I usually plug it in to a maintainer but I've been lazy the past week as I usually go out once a day for a spin (haven't for a couple of days) and moving it around to get...

Any thoughts on this VSS Error & Limp Home Mode? Possibly the battery??

Mornin' all. Just bought this, '15 SE6 FE3T, 18,000 kms, a few weeks back and got a 'VSS error, limp home mode' this am. Story behind the drive. Went out for a ride with just my vest on, went about 3km from home and had to go back home for a jacket as it was a bit colder than I thought. Set the...

Battery Tenders - should you use them or not?

I'm a firm believer in them. In saying that, that's the brand I've had the best luck with, and even then I had to get one replaced under warranty that stopped charging. I used to believe in Schumacher, but one last winter fried my new battery on my Voyager by continuously charging at 16V...

Are there any Canadians out there? Anybody?

New member, thanks for having me - and where's a good place to get these things?

I'm looking at their site but having a hard time figuring out which is mine, 2015 SE6 F3. EDit, just trying out the picture posting, not bad once you get the hang of it :-).

My RT-L first service tomorrow - is one of the 2 drain plugs magnetic? Any advantage to having both magnetic?

Meds will do that, hope they help. I had considered that but then unconsidered it for two reasons. :-) I had ordered new washers and O rings right after I got the bike, so I compared the diameters and the one included with the plug was indeed a smaller ID than the OE. The second reason was that...

    How Much Oil To Add?

I meant to mention also I had checked mine before starting it just for the halibut. The oil level was in the middle of the acceptable range so I'm thinking the previous owner had checked it cold and filled it to a level for a 'normal engine'.

My RT-L first service tomorrow - is one of the 2 drain plugs magnetic? Any advantage to having both magnetic?

Check the included Showchrome transmission drain plug washer's inner diameter. I just changed mine, and the inner diameter of the copper washer was too small, it rode up on the plugs taper from the sealing surface to the main body, instead of sitting flat on the surface. Hopefully, just a fluke...

    How Much Oil To Add?

Just changed the oil on mine. Bought it a week ago and was checking it over and I checked the oil, letting it warm up and check it within 2 minutes after shutting it down. The oil was up to the wire on the dipstick which was sorta disconcerting with the way people say overfilling is so...

Do People Get Thrown Off of Spyders?

I don't know if I could safely do that, shifting from one to the other, back and forth.

My Back between the shoulders hurts after 6 hours of riding - anyone else? Would handlebar risers help? Is this normal?

My back was like that right after I got my Voyager, I found I was unintentionally keeping my back and shoulders stiff keeping straight, a backrest worked wonders. Possibly help you....maybe?

Do People Get Thrown Off of Spyders?

But for pure luck he'd be singing tenor... ten or 15 octaves higher. This proves that there is a Darwin, but this guy juuust failed to get any award.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

There's no 'friction zone' during low speed turns. Look where you want to go as you would on a bike, turn the bars, lean into the turn/brake/accelerate if necessary and you're good.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Yup, exactly how mine felt when I drove it home, to the point I was thinking to myself, what have I done! Trust me, it does get better and more natural after a bit. Still squirrely, but definitely better. The feeling of not being able to drop the rig is a different sensation as well. That's what...

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Agree with what's been said so far. Just got mine a week ago, and it's getting better and better once I got past the death grip. Coming from a Kawi Voyager, it's quite a difference. Still reach for the clutch and front brake on occasion, as well as go to lift my foot up or down to shift. but...

What are your favotite places to buy OEM parts & accessories?

In Canada we don't have many options. We can buy it from the suppliers mentioned, but the difference in the Canuk buck to US is ridiculous, not to mention shipping and duty. So far, I've had good luck with Fort Nine, but they don't have a lot. They did have my filters and replacement drain plugs...

New member, thanks for having me - and where's a good place to get these things?

Thanks for the reply JayBros. Looking at how far the key actually goes in to activate the seat or frunk I'd say for sure it does. Trying to find a locksmith to cut it now, they're like hens teeth, all the places around here have gone to the automated 'stick the key in and the machine will make...
