• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Downshifting techniques, I need your advice on best technique?

Most of the time I let the bike downshift. On occasion however there have been times I've downshifted manually, but it's rare.

Debating a water bottle setup on my '22 RT-L - any pics, suggestions?

I didn't like having my drink on my handlebars, so I decided on this... https://www.rykerrydes.com/product-page/insulated-hydration-tank-bag. I put it on the passenger seat and strap it down to the passenger hand grips. Then I attach the nozzle, which has a clip, to my belt. The thing holds...

Replaced the OEM battery on my 2021RTL (Pic)

I ended up buying a battery from NAPA. It's called the Legend Premium. Cost me around $150 plus or minus. Last motorcycle battery I bought was for my '93 Honda Shadow. That was $19.95. Oh, how times have changed.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed the Fobo Bike 2's on the wife's Ryker. Much easier than mine because the directions didn't say to not pull the paper out from under the battery until you're ready to install the sensor. I actually found that info in a video. But this time it only took about 10 minutes on hers and...

Almost had the big one yesterday - pallet fell of a truck into our path!

I'm hoping for a pallet of $100 bills to fall off of a truck in front of me. All kidding aside, glad no one was injured.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I finally divorced myself from BRP connect and am strictly using the Carpuride device for music, GPS and phone calls. I could never seem to get BRP connect to work the way I wanted, and trying to answer phone calls on my HJC Smart headset was an absolute nightmare.

Want to increase Gas Tank capacity/Mileage Range - any suggestions?

I gained better range of miles since last year, and plan to increase the range in the next year or so. How you ask? I'm losing weight. :roflblack:

RTL Died on the Road - what do you think happened here??

My first thought as well. Or, and this is one that I've done as well, but maybe the kill switch was hit by mistake? That actually happened to me the other day. But the switch wasn't all the way off, which is the odd part. That's why I didn't notice it immediately.

Those of you that Concealed Carry on your Spyder, what type of holster do you use?

Where I live there is not an extreme amount of crime like there is in a larger city, like NYC. However, being prepared in today's somewhat hostile environment is always the best way to help stay alive. I watch a podcast of a certain individual (whose name I won't mention but people may know...

Those of you that Concealed Carry on your Spyder, what type of holster do you use?

Having mine on my side is the best way to be able to defend myself in case I unfortunately have to use it. It doesn't do me any good if I put it where I can't easily and quickly draw. I hope to God I never have to, but I am prepared if I do. And I have a full magazine with 1 in the chamber.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Bought the wife the FOBO 2 sensors for her Ryker and will be installing them tonight. It's a surprise. Also bought 2 dog carriers and goggles for the pups and will be figuring that out. They love riding in the truck so I'm sure they'll love it on the bikes as well.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

This week I'm going to attempt to add the missing belt guard that's been sitting in my garage for almost 2 years. I heard there's minimal tolerance between the tire and the guard and the belt and the guard. I guess I'll find out. As long as it doesn't vibrate and rub against either one, I'll...

Need some screws for Left Combo switch - part number?

What I could find out was that the screws that hold the throttle assembly together are M4x25. I would guess that would be close for the blinker assembly as well. They may not be 25mm long (1 inch), but I'm guessing they're still M4 thread. You can get those at any hardware store.

Anyone Added a large (7") Carplay Display screen to a Spyder RT?

Update on my Carpuride. It has the 7" screen, and it does not fit between the bars. I thought for sure it did, but nope. I still like where it is, though.
