• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil leak at 100 miles! New 2024 S2S

It's very unfortunate, but I think sometimes Spyder owners expect all BRP dealerships to perform the way many cage dealerships do. It just doesn't happen that way. Couple that with the fact that the recreational powersports industry has some industry-wide problems. Just yesterday the WSJ...

    Can-Am dealers not hungry?

I bought my Spyder from a dealership the same distance you travel and have been doing so since the BRP dealership five miles from my home with an excellent service department closed. (Their sales dept wouldn't cut a dime off MSRP when I was buying.) My latest service from them was having Tire...

Any suggestions on a Drink carrier for the Top Case? Any 3D print options? 2020+ RT

I use a Camelbak, carryover from many years of long distance bicycling, but K80Shooter's suggestion sounds perfect. Best thing about the Camelbak, I can drink at 80 mph if I want.

Is it OK to lift a 2017 RT at the receiver hitch?

If you drive the Spyder onto the ramps, frontwards or backwards, and look underneath where the crankcase drain plug is you will see it's on the rearward side of the engine. Don't worry about the fact that the rear wheel is on the garage floor and the bike isn't level. Drain the oil, change the...

Oil leak at 100 miles! New 2024 S2S

The OP having a problem with BRP and the dealership deciding how to "proceed" on this one is a 10KT load of bovine effluent. The 1330 ACE engine is bulletproof. It's BRP's and the dealership's responsibility to fix both problems under warranty. The owner should expect nothing less.

Thanks much for the tip, Peter; will use it in the future.

Your thoughts on BRP (DOOO) as a company to invest in??

Charlton said he was llooking at DOOO from an investment perspective, so I just used Ferrari as a motorsport stock as an example. My apologies that the links didn't work. Go to Yahoo Finance, type in the stock symbols and look at the YTD performance. I agree with JKMSPYDER; wouldn't spend one...

I Killed My Battery - left it on a tender... New battery awaiting collection!

Just a thought if I were in the market for a new Spyder, which I am not, I would insist that as part of the OTD deal the dealership replace the Chinese rip off they call a battery with an American one. That thing they are calling a battery in the new MYs is an insult to intelligence of someone...

2024 will Crank, but just won't start! More later...

Used my Noco Boost GB40 for the first time today on a ride. Stopped to help a Hispanic gent in a Lincoln Aviator SUV w/- a big-ass V8 and flat battery. Jump pack started the engine three times but it would not run continuously. Gent showed me LF side of the engine where there was a hole in the...

2024 will Crank, but just won't start! More later...

In the first one, about a year after I purchased it, so just out of warranty, the lithium battery began to swell, and it popped open the plastic encasement. Rugged Geek folks sold me a second one at half price. The second one, again shortly after the warranty expired, just totally crapped out...

2024 will Crank, but just won't start! More later...

Forewarned is fore-armed. Before I began touring, I bought a boost jump starter. Had two Rugged Geeks, each a piece of crap; now I have a Noco Boost Plus GB40. Used the first Rugged Geek locally when first battery gave up the ghost. Don't leave home without one, particularly if your Spyder has...
