• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CAUTION - RTL Brake calliper bolts are recommended One Time Use only!

I think a lot of the bolts are one use only because they have thread lock pre-applied to the bolt, not because they stretch when torqued. I would think that they could be reused with liquid thread lock.

Can anyone recommend a TPMS system other than FOBO?

I see these are not recommended for rubber tire stems.

Do I just keep pumping with Speed Bleeders until the line fills up?

Wait - OK, thinking more about this, I have a long hose on the bleed nipple, so only fluid would get sucked back in. But it doesn't. It appears that the bleeder does have a check valve. I do notice using a Might Vac that air bubbles do appear, which I assume is being drawn in past the threads of...

Do I just keep pumping with Speed Bleeders until the line fills up?

I did not miss that. So the advantage to speed bleeders is that you don't need to do the 3rd step. OK, thanks!

Do I just keep pumping with Speed Bleeders until the line fills up?

I'm confused. I've bled brakes on my 2014 RSS following the service manual procedure. There is no mention of speed bleeders nor opening and closing the bleeder at the bottom of each stroke. The fluid bled as expected by just pumping the brake pedal, with no fluid returning on the upstroke. In...

Is there a Code Reader for the Spyder?

Some Amazon reviewers say it does not work on Can Am. Let us know please.

Am I the only one having difficulties with Front Wheel removal on 2018 Spyder RT?

I bought a used 2014 last year, date code on the tires were 2013, the wheels were probably never removed. I could not get the lug nuts off. I sprayed them with penetrating oil, waited a day, repeated a couple more times. That did the trick for me.

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

Yes, I am certain. I was also in the embedded firmware business for 35 years. Let me try to convince you. Using Pedal Box's chart, I copied their most aggressive curve (Sport mode) onto the test results from my Ryker. The blue line is stock Ryker TAS and the green line is Pedal Box Sport mode...

The best response is “I believe I was going the speed limit.”

What is involved with a Rear tire vs Front tires that makes it almost double the Mounting Cost? Drive belt?

I used this method to remove the rear wheel. No change or adjustment to belt alignment.

    Is canam-partsstore Reputable?

I've gotten parts from canampartshouse and leadersrpmshop, both reputable.

Need to replace 2013 left lower side panel - can't get my Lava Bronze color, only Black. Any suggestions?

You might try canampartshouse; I have ordered 2014 RSS parts from them. I'm not sure exactly what panel you need, but they do list Bronze for some 2013 RT Limited panels.

Weird Spyder Behavior this afternoon - sudden power loss & 'bucking'! Any ideas?

On my Ryker loss of power and "bucking" as you described was symptomatic of a bad fuel pump. I unfortunately had two of them go bad.

Weird Spyder Behavior this afternoon - sudden power loss & 'bucking'! Any ideas?

Peter, I don't agree with your statement that the battery voltage should not drop below 12V when cranking, or that using a battery tester is not appropriate. The Service Manual for my 2014 RSS says differently.

How to calibrate your speedometer to agree with your GPS speed

I just recalibrated the speedo on my 2014 RSS. Holding the cursor over the Speed Calibration box shows that the formula is Speed_new = Speed_old * (1 + CalConst/65536). Solving for CalConst, CalConst = ((Speed_new/Speed_old) - 1) / 65536. My speedo read 72 mph at 70 mph GPS, so ((70/72)...

Anyone else have a battery that's losing charge? '23 RT Ltd

I suggest that you get a Service Manual for your Spyder. PDF versions are available for a modest cost. There are step-by-step instructions for testing the charging system with a multimeter.

5 MOTORCYCLES THAT ARE NOTORIOUSLY EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN

No problem. My post was not meant to be so much my personal observation as much as passing along an article that I thought might be of interest. Personally, I am not so concerned about high maintenance and repair costs, as I do almost all myself. I had a repair required on my used Ryker right...

5 MOTORCYCLES THAT ARE NOTORIOUSLY EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN

"The Can-Am Spyder Can-Am makes some interesting trikes that will certainly garner you some attention out on the road. We hopped onboard a few of these unique 3-wheeled rides in our 2024 Can-Am Spyder and Ryker Review and relished its ergonomics, but weren't so positive about the weighty price...

General Safety Recall - is the onus on servicing dealer to notify &/or perform the necessary work?

It may or may not require a fuel pump replacement. I had to replace the fuel pump in my 2019 Ryker, and then later saw the recall notice posted online. I called BRP to see if my replacement part was subject to the recall. BRP instructed me to call my dealer. The dealer service tech told me that...
