• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adding Ride On to your tires - Good, Bad, Opinions?

I do recall it was a real tough squeeze back in the day on my GW, hopefully they have improved that. I used a clamp arrangement to get it out. When I run out of Kenda's, I'm getting some Ride-On.

an unobtainable pipe dream for raising my RT

I follow Pegasus' idea, with the car ramps, put a throw rug under them so they don't slide. Just break out the knee pads and have at it. I also have the dreaded knee problem, and find something to grab and pull myself up after I'm done under there.

Spyder sat too long - now it sounds/runs bad! Any ideas?

A dash of Techron and and a fuel top off worked for me on previous motorcycles to smooth out the rough spots, never tried it on the Spyder though.

2020 RTL Seat strut barely holds the seat open - ideas?

Yes, 2020 RTL seat struts are a PIA. Had mine replaced under warranty, now that one has failed. I'm done, I just use a prop to keep life simple. Gee whiz, this could not have been rocket science for BRP.

Adding Ride On to your tires - Good, Bad, Opinions?

Ride On worked for me, if nothing else, it can save you if you have a puncture out in the boonies. The old formula was a mess but the new is fine for a tire change.

New 2020 RT Limited Owner - Some Newby Shop Questions

Sure agree on the OEM battery on my 20 RTL. Just up and died suddenly with no prior signs of sickness. Luckily, it was in my garage. My advice, remove it and take it to auto zone or some such and have them test it under load. It's a free service, and they won't pressure you to buy. Nobody has...

Any Tips for reducing road trip costs?

Oh so right, if you can keep that machine under 3K rpm, big fuel savings. However, at that speed it's really a flower sniffing event that takes patience, but keeping on the back roads if you're not in a hurry is pleasant.

Looks like there's a New 'lift higher' Seat Bracket on the 2023 RT's!?

Dealer replaced mine under warranty, but that solution not much improvement over the OEM, I expected as much, but I had to try. So a day of my life was wasted getting it done. I like your 'prop it up' solution. I often wonder if the BRP engineers ever tried to gas these things up? Silly...

BlueKnight, we agree. I see this as a 'common sense' thing. Some do not, and so I'm not here to convince them otherwise.

How to kill off electric vehicles

As a true believer Pete, you should forthwith buy a EV car, and motorcycle. I really don't believe this thread is gonna convince one person to change their attitude pro or con. Just my opinion, everybody has one.
