• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone post how to on rear brake pads?

The brakes pads were replace last time by the dealer. They do have what looks like blue Locktite on them. I think they are the originals, just by having looked closely at the heads before I started to work on them myself. They had quite a bit of wear where the allen wrench goes in. If I get...

Can someone post how to on rear brake pads?

Thanks, removing the cable and actuator certainly made it easier to get the piston in as well as work the caliper back onto the disk. I got the caliper bolted back on and was able to the break the allen bolts loose. Note to self (and others): Break those bolts loose and remove the parking...

BACK UP BRAKE SQUEAK SOLVED .....

Home Depot does not have a huge assortment of springs, basically they sell an assortment on a clear plastic box. The one I have here is an 84 pc assortment made by Everbilt. SKU is either 471 864 or 15642. It maybe the same on Tatt2r found his springs in. I did find two in there that may work if...

Can someone post how to on rear brake pads?

I had the caliper lowered to replace the rear tire. Now before I put it back on I want to remove the pads, replace the pads if needed, apply the anti squeal, and install springs to keep the pads from rubbing on the rotors. I cannot get the allen bolts off. I have a 3/8 allen wrench in the bolt...

:agree: Dust will stick to oils, but not to graphite. In a pinch, try rubbing a pencil on the key.

    Will this Fit on back

Ravi, Just in case you didn't notice, the stock size is 225/50/15. You selected a 60 series tire there. There are alot of threads about auto tire alternatives on this site. Search for "rear tire". I think you will find out that messing with the dimensions too radically will mess with the...

    Risers

:agree: The 4 inch risers I put on my SM5 are great, but these are more adjustable. The hardest part on the riser install on the original risers was reassembling the left side control after passing the reverse cable thru the hole in the risers. This design eliminates that process. Having that...

    Spyder Lift questions

Thanks groundeffect, I was wondering what that model was. It says the skids are 17" wide, but does not say how far apart they are. Where do they end up being placed when you have it up? Can you get to the oil resevoir and engine drain plugs? Looks like I can get it for $178 Shipped here...

    Spyder Lift questions

I am considering a lift. I looked up the specs on the the red and black Craftsman. It says minimum height is over 5 inches. Is anyone using this particular model? http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00950190000P?keyword=Motorcycle#reviewsWrap

What Accessories/Mods MUST I have for a New Spyder RS?

For Safety: You cant beat ESI for a variety of lighting options. Look into the triple play and mudflap lights for extra visability from the rear when just running, or signaling and braking. Very easy installs, plug and play. If I can do it, most anyone can. If you are having a hard time...
