• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Review: Got 7 Jurock Touring Windscreen 2022 RT-L - I'm impressed!

Yep, yep, yep, Carbonation. I got one to replace the stock on my ‘21RT. I now get no wind around the sides despite me being a larger rider. I’m a happy camper. I do switch back to stock for summer though  Pete

Any feedback on aftermarket seats - Ultimate vs Corbin?

Just out of interest, Troop - so Corbin will tailor your seat via foam densities etc to requirements you give them, but I assume they won’t “guarantee” that they will be comfortable on long trips? I’m not belittling Corbin, they make a good product that many love, but it does still appear to be...

Warranty Question - Would you let a regular M/cycle shop fit a rear tire?

Thanks Bob. Just for info - My nearest trustworthy Spyder mech is 300 miles away, and unfortunately he won’t install aftermarkets (he’s too small to entertain the thought of someone taking legal action against him if there is some kind of aftermarket tyre fail). There are some fabulous...

Any feedback on aftermarket seats - Ultimate vs Corbin?

Never lose sight of the fact that Ultimate and Corbin are effectively one-size-fits-all seats. Some riders will find them brilliant; some riders will find them ok; some riders will find them the same as stock. Sure, you might be one of the lucky ones, but the only way to guarantee all day...

Are there any 'Not so expensive shock' alternatives to OEM?

I can completely understand that CloverHill. I usually operate the same way. It threw me at first too. But one of the things that has enabled Ikon to keep their pricing low is that they have effectively disbanded their front office operation to allow them to concentrate on the engineering side...

RTL/F3L Heated seats - does the Spyder need to be running for seats to heat?

As Racoon said, engine needs to be running, Troop. Pete

Warranty Question - Would you let a regular M/cycle shop fit a rear tire?

Just to clarify, Bob, as this clarification is where a good deal of confusion arises - Are you referring to you removing the rear wheel yourself and taking it into a motorcycle shop for them to simply fit a new aftermarket tyre, or are you referring to you taking the Spyder into a motorcycle...

Anyone else notice the excessive amount of throttle twist/rotation required??

It’s not AR that has got his panties in a knot, Dasmoe. He is simply letting others know, as he usually does & as is required by his 'Moderator's job description' to do so, that some of the posters on this thread are no longer around, in case someone asks them a question expecting a reply. ;) Pete

At what speed does the parking brake cease to operate?

Yes, it’s amazing how many questions can be answered via a simple thumb through of the operator’s guide, raccoon. Pete

Need to modify driver's seat on 2023 RTL - anyone made theirs comfortable?

Russell also adjust the height and angle of the seat to suit your physical build based on the photos you provide, No Tyme - and it is not simply the extra width that helps, but the upward angle of the wings which supports the outer thighs. Pete

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

Yeah, it’s a funny one, Broderp. I know other riders who don’t notice the lag, and some that do. What really highlighted it for me was a long curve onto a freeway that I take regularly. It’s a gentle curve, and I usually hit it in 3rd at lowish rpm just cruising around it. Then when I look at...

Want to upgrade the ride - Tires, shocks, or both?

Thanks Peter. Just for info, I am running 18psi in my Duragrips even with my (all muscle, of course:ohyea:) 310lbs, and am seeing the 3 or 4 psi rise after 30 minutes riding, so aftermarket car tyres are very forgiving in regard to their psi……the Kendas not so much ;)…….and I agree completely...

Want to upgrade the ride - Tires, shocks, or both?

That’s interesting, Dusterdude. The ‘20+ RT models have improved cornering capabilities over the stock pre ‘20 models to the extent that many riders moving from the pre ‘20 RT do not feel the need to install an upgraded anti sway bar. From my perspective, it looks like aftermarket shocks like...

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

Yes, there is no doubt that the flash is the ultimate solution, Lew. However, if you are like me, and find that the Spyder bogs down during quick takeoff (especially if you are in the wrong gear), the “Pedals” provide a quick, easy solution. I have ridden with both the flash (F3) and the PC (RT)...

Want to upgrade the ride - Tires, shocks, or both?

Dusterdude, see Troop’s post #4 above. Could you please expand on “woefully inadequate”? Are you experiencing poor cornering, instability, too stiff, too soft, scraping the front? That will assist in us providing info on making your Spyder “more comfortable”.;) Pete

So, how fast can a spyder go and safely make a sharp right turn at an intersection?

Ahhhhhhh yes. But how do you know what you don’t know, Raccoon? You can spend a huge amount of time riding, but if you are riding with bad habits, things won’t improve. The trick is to glean what good advice you can get from the forums experienced riders, and THEN, get out and “ride more, worry...

Russell Day Long saddles for '20+ RT's - they don't make a driver backrest!

“Day rides with noises”, Frogman? You’ll have to stop eating so much Chilli before you head out :roflblack: Pete

Russell Day Long saddles for '20+ RT's - they don't make a driver backrest!

Yes, Frogman. That was Daylong’s suggestion. The Sunbrella is not the most beautiful material, but it keeps the seat a bit warmer in winter, and a lot cooler in summer. It also doesn’t fade. It works well for me, but we all have different drivers. All the reports on the Ultimate vs OEM backrest...

Russell Day Long saddles for '20+ RT's - they don't make a driver backrest!

Daylong lifted me a couple of inches and got me an extra inch in seat length (despite the backrest mount limitations), which means I don’t contact the tank and gives me plenty of leg room, and Helibars, with a slight hole enlargement, allow me to get the bars well forward, Troop. Without being...

Looking for info/advice from those who have RT Replacement Shocks...

Hahaha! That explains why I was wondering how I missed your “rear shock is an airbag” comment when I read Peter’s post, John. :roflblack: ... and just a left field “aside”, JCWeatherman - be aware that your RT WILL ride a bit firmer after you replace your OEM rear/front shocks, which are...
