• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Opinions wanted - How I and the Dealer handled a service issue - long read warning

If you do decide to do some adjusting remember that the right adjuster has the greatest effect on belt placement on the sprocket, the left adjuster has the greatest effect on the belt tension.

Just had my 1st service done - they used 4T 0W40 synthetic oil - anyone else?

Checking cold you may find that it shows full, or it may not show any at all. Roll the dice and take your chances or follow the procedure. I think everyone that gets a Spyder needs to do their own testing, so they understand the reasoning.

So, how fast can a spyder go and safely make a sharp right turn at an intersection?

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

I've put this on here before, but my experience has been: I would pass thru a speed range that would cause a tremendous vibration coming up thru the floorboards. From recommendations I tried both lowering and raising the tension on the belt. Got quite good at it. All it did was change the...

Anyone use (turtle wax) hybrid solution ceramic wax on windshield?

I have used the ceramic versions on a stock and an F4 windshield with no problems. The newer Graphene versions say not to use on plastics and glass, but it works good on the painted surfaces.

What Hobbies do you have other than the Spyder?

For years my main hobby centered around remote control. Raced RC cars competitively, oval, onroad and offroad. Still have a hanger full of RC planes but they don’t see the use they did in the past. Now its drones and you will rarely see me without at least one. Can always find a reason to...

Need to Adjust Seat Backwards after dealer visit - any hints on DIY?

It's very likely that the last person to tighten one or both of those bolts got a little carried away and now the mount is deformed not allowing it to slide. It's all plastic of some form or another so care must used.

Is it possible to do an Oil Change without a lift?

If you have car ramps you have it made. Put them behind the front wheel and back up onto them. This gives you plenty of working room. Just make sure you use the torx head and the allen head in the correct places.
