• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Be a minimalist. You do not need to pack half of your house for a multi- ride. Clothes should be enough for three days then wash. When I first bike traveled for say ten-day ride, I had way too much stuff. After a few more rides, I had plenty extra room.

    i use the lift that I used with my Harleys by placing side ways behind the rear wheel then back up on it, then jack it up. When done , let down and drive forward.

    Just thinking out loud. Have had 20 bikes, ridden all over on all kinds of road surfaces, in all kinds of weather conditions and not once had a unbalanced wheel/tire from factory or when new tires put on as well as had a flat. Carry compressor and plug kit for peace of mind.

    When I bought my 2020 RTL had a Akrapovic muffler put on it. When I traded for a 2022 F3L, I had the muffler taken off and put it on the new bike. I like the sound. Stock sounds like a small compact car rather than a bike.

    on vehicles there is a fuel vapor recovery system that takes the gas vapors after fueling through charcoal filter and into the manifold. If one fills tank too full, raw fuel can get into system and mess up the fuel-air metering.

    Word of caution on "topping" the fuel tank off is that raw fuel can get into the fuel evaporator system and cause engine issues not to mention messing up fuel relay system.

    On recent five day trip I had my smart phone plugged in using the gps while listening to XM satellite music through the bike's speakers. the sound quality was exceptional and much better than if listening to a FM channel.
