• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First time ride on my Spyder today - I think I'm gonna like it!

I have an terrible fear of heights. I ride the Canyons here in Utah, but the ones near me I'm OK with. Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, oh boy, never again. I'm not too bad if there are barriers, but steep drop offs with no barriers and I'm not going that way. I know, for a grown man...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Just an FYI. I think Washington State is one of those that requires a specific license endorsement for a three wheeled vehicle like a Spyder. Not sure, but it appeared that way last time I read the BRP website.

First time ride on my Spyder today - I think I'm gonna like it!

I started out on a Spyder 5 years ago. The ride home from the dealer convinced my I should take it back and unwind the deal. It scared the living daylights out of me. I’d never ridden an off-road or snowmobile so I didn’t get not being able to steer by counter steering at all. But I persevered...

Does this Ultra Plus Full Synthetic 10W40 oil work for our Spyders?

Well Amazon says it has their "full synthetic" for $56 per 6 quarts, and their "synthetic blend" for $50 per 6 quarts. Now how "full" is "full synthetic" I don't know, but the price for their purported "full synthetic" and "synthetic blend" are seemingly very close to each other. Whether there...

Has anyone else had Update issues from their dealer on their 2025 Spyder?

I gust like my phone to go to the Spyder for Apple CarPlay to work on the touch screen. Then just pickup the output from that with the rider headset.

Large Power Sport Dealer ditches Spyders

Indeed. They have no new inventory posted online in Provo, the SLC location however appears to be still selling them. I bought a new 2026 S2S from Moto Untd here in Draper as they are just a couple of miles down the road from me. They treated me well. They seemed to sell through their S2S...

Has anyone else had Update issues from their dealer on their 2025 Spyder?

Even my new 2026 S2S needed the S/W update over Wi-Fi when I got it home. If it updates beware there are times in the update procedure when the screen goes black for a minute, several times. Just be patient and it will eventually spring back to life as the installation continues. After updating...

When is the Price of gas going to stop rising?

From the American oil industry perspective there is very little incentive to open the Straits of Hormuz any time soon. Currently the US has significantly expanded it's oil exports from the Gulf of America/Mexico ports to many nations. The tanker traffic in the Gulf of America/Mexico has...

Has anybody figured out a way to reset CarPlay while riding? (‘25 Canyon Redrock)

I just checked again and it seems the latest firmware/software update is 4.1.0. It seems to work pretty well as designed. I haven't uncovered any bugs as yet. On my 2026 Spyder S2S I use the following 3 parts from Amazon: Right Angle USB A Male to USB C Female Adapter, 90 Degree USB 3.0 to...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

That's a good question. I suspect the bulletin does not obligate BRP to a free fix outside the warranty period. It's a technical bulletin, not a recall notice. It does mean that the newer parts should be available from BRP though. The dealer should be able to assist at least in ordering the...

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

I measured the tread depth on the new XPS branded Kenda tires on my 26 S2S. The depth measures 8/32" in each of the three radial grooves. That's 6.4mm for those of us raised in the metric system. It looks a fair bit more than the Kenda originals I had on my 21 RT LTD.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Hi Ma'am, These tires are still made by Kenda, just rebranded XPS for Can Am to match the XPS oil brand name, and they come in the standard fitment sizes of 165/55R15 front and 225/50R15 rear which should fit your year of Spyder. All new Spyders seem to come with them fitted from 2026 from what...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

You might want to look at the new XPS branded Kendas. My new S2S came with them on and they are a pretty decent upgrade from previous OEM fitments. They run quieter, grip a bit better though still have the same nice gradual breakaway, have stiffer sidewalls and the wet grip is an order of...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I think there was a technical bulletin or even some recall parts to swap the cables with stainless steel ones as the previous ones would get rusty from moisture and jam up.

Battery Query - Does the Can-Bus system cause a battery drain?

I used the following "battery maintainer/trickle charger/charger" from Amazon. It kept the battery charged on my 2021 RT LTD until I traded it for a new S2S the other day (So that's 2021- 2026, or 5 years). It sat in my garage (unheated which therefore gets really cold in winter and subsequently...

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

Mine has two small weights on one and one small weight on the other. The rear has no weights. I think that is in the probable normal range for car tires too. My SUV with high specification tires has more weights than this, even accounting for larger size and mass. My experience of course...

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

I’m afraid I don’t quite agree. Having ridden back to back on the original Kenda and now the new XPSs branded Kenda tires, I would say there are considerable differences. First off, the similarities are they both have a smooth and predictable breakaway. As for differences, they run quieter...

I just bought the Can Am Spyder S2S Luggage - sidebags excellent, trunk or top box bag not so much!

I was born and raised in England and commuted by motorcycle to work in London, everyday. Waterproofs were something you always took and some weeks you wore everyday. You had to arrive at work dry so it was a habit you got into carrying them every day, from day one. Then I came to the US to live...

Ikon Front Shocks - Who Uses 'Em & What Do You Think?

Yes, I didn’t know about the Oz operation until Koni made their decision to get out of the motorcycle suspension business. I’m glad it was a family and team affair, they all have a lot to be proud of.
