• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Preparing for a trip tomorrow, down to Southern Utah, Escalante, and Tory. Trying to get the iPhone to work on a 2026 S2S though. I can get Bluetooth working, but as soon as I plug the USB cable in, Bluetooth drops in a few seconds. Playing with infinite iPhone settings, as per everything on...

    Proper break-in on new Spyder

There’s nothing worse than rain gear that supposed to keep water out that doesn’t. Same for boots. Boots always promise so much, but rarely deliver in my opinion, no matter how much you pay for them. For boots, that always fail at some stage, I bough these off Amazon, and just chuck them in the...

    I added 2025 Bar Risers to my 2026 S2S

I think there are also 2" and even 3" risers out there, but I bought the 1-1/4" to start off conservatively. It turns out that 1-1/4" is enough for me but there are taller blocks available. Here are the 2" risers I found, but I have no idea what quality they are. They seem to be two separate...

    I added 2025 Bar Risers to my 2026 S2S

I added the following 1-1/4" bar risers to my '26 S2S, found on Amazon.com for $47.49 with the coupon. They were nicely made, both machined and their coating. It said up to 2025 model, but fitted my 2026 as expected. Black 1 1/4" Handlebar Riser kit for Can Am Spyder F3 /F3T /F3LTD All Years...

I need to find an alternative to the dealership for routine maintenance

The $1,900 seems like a lot, but when you add up all the parts, labor and taxes, it's not out of the ballpark using factory parts. The labor is probably BRP's book hours for each job. A good tech might take less time, or more time if he is interrupted to help on another job, but I suspect he is...

Spyder vs Gold Wing Reverse Trike - anyone have experience?

You might try to Google all the brands of conversion that you can find. I think most of the conversion businesses when out of business leaving owners with a lack of maintenance opportunities and a significant lack of spare parts. I'm sure few of them had the integrated software safety systems...

I need to find an alternative to the dealership for routine maintenance

$1900? How are those gold plated calipers and disks working out for you? ChatGTP figures between $1500 and $2400 dollars. It states $1200 to $1400 in parts. This is assuming they replaced rotors as well as pads. Obviously the labor is a little cheaper changing the belt at the same time as the...

Why has the Mid-West become a Spyder Rally Wasteland???

I’m in UT. They say we are in the west. That’s as might be, but it’s still a long way to the seaside. This country is huge. Having been born on an island where you can’t get more than 63 miles from the coast, theoretically, it’s weird. And when this half of the country is like 15% of the...

How common are 2021 RT Ltd air suspension failures?

I traded my 2021 RT LTD for a 2026 S2S. It was about a little under 5,000 miles and in pretty much as new condition with a full service history. It had just about every rear suspension problem possible when new, but once everything was replaced under warranty I never had a problem again. It was...

Does it matter which way an Asymmetrical tire is installed on the rear of a Spyder?

Other than the aesthetic, I sincerely doubt you would ever be able to tell the difference, wet or dry, tread design wise with relationship as to which way around you mount it. If the rubber compound varies across the width of the tire there might be a slight issue. With regular Hankook...

Does it matter which way an Asymmetrical tire is installed on the rear of a Spyder?

That tire looks barely less symmetrical than the asymmetrical XPS branded Kendas as OEM front fitment on my 2026 S2S. Looking at the front of my Spyder these new XPS Kenda's tread patterns are not reversed from left to right which triggers my OCD more than a little bit. One side looks like it...

Does it matter which way an Asymmetrical tire is installed on the rear of a Spyder?

Look at the tread of the new XPS branded tires as fitted to new Can Am Spyder’s. They aren’t symmetrical. I think as long as the outer sections are similar, even if they are the reverse, of each other they’ll be fine.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

You sound like my wife. All trips and vacations are prepared on a spreadsheet with precise timing and an impossible list of destinations. I think a cruise would actually kill her. She’s a few years older than me and couldn’t retire until I hit 65 for health care. She’s seventy now and still...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Gas/petrol is still a fair bit cheaper than bottled water at most gas stations. Gas is still the cheapest thrills.

Anyone going back and forth from their Spyder to a motorcycle?

Yes, the are unique. One steers by counter steering, the other like a regular vehicle but with handlebars instead of a steering wheel. The Spyder is very different and takes a fair while to get used to unless you are used to old snowmobiles or sitting inline OHVs. I've ridden both. You don't...

Front end shaking around 55 mph - anyone else have this issue?

I’d start with the easy bit, tire balancing. I think back in this year they had grease nipples on some of the pivot points which folks ignore leading to bushing wear. If the brake pedal pulses when you slow down you may have a warped disk rotor. At that age front shocks might be done.

Front wheel hop when braking - suspension arm bushes, or... ?? Any help?

If the tires are balanced (without Centramatic balancers), there's no deviation in run out on the wheel, the shocks are OK, no matter what sway bar is fitted, and all the suspension bushings are OK, there has to be some other problem causing this. When I aligned my original Spyder 5 years ago...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I fitted a 1-1/4" bar riser on my 2026 S2S. Changed the bar angle a little too, to make the turn signal switch easier to get to. You can rotate the bars a few degrees with them located on the centering pin. Mine were rotated fully towards me, so I rotated them to about the middle of the range so...
