• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Why are your disks warping? Do they replace the disks as well as the pads each time? Is it both sides and just the front? Could the hub be corroded between the disk and the hub where they didn't clean it off when replacing the disk? Is the ABS pump or the master cylinder keeping the pads...

Any Modification recommendations from those who tour on their Spyders?

Just been on a long trip with torrential rain, as in this is a desert with a drought, but when it rains it downpours kind of rain. I use these I found on Amazon as I ride in my Georgia Boot work boots, which are labelled as waterproof but really aren't. I fact every pair of waterproof...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Ride safe my friend, it looks like bad weather was forming. We kept ahead of the dark clouds, just, on our way back from Torrey to the Salt Lake Valley, via Moroni and Nephi to I-15 and up. Every time we stopped for gas or munchies the dark clouds were getting dark and closer.

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

Not necessarily a good battery with those figures. Lithium batteries has a very difference voltage degradation curve under load. An AGM lead acid battery will decay voltage in a different manner than the sudden voltage drop off of a Lithium battery. 9.5 volts minimum looks too low to me. Whilst...

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

If you are getting down into the mid 9 volt range on starting it’s very possible that the ECU and other modules are not getting sufficient voltage to operate reliably. It might not be the voltage level it drops to, but how it drops to that level. Lithium batteries can drop off suddenly rather...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

You my friend are braver than I. My fear of heights made the experience unforgettable, but not likely repeatable. I’ve done Monticello to Mexican hat, but never Hanksville to Blanding. Is that in the Canyons or up and down the sides of Canyons? If it’s the former I might do that next time I go...

Is the S2S seat all that much better compared to the RTL seat?

I can do gas stop to gas stop on the S2S seat. My wife says she’s fine on the back for two gas stops. Big improvement over the ‘21 RT LTD.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I did it. I rode from Escalante UT to Torrey UT over the scary ridge top highway. My wife loved it, it scared the crap out of me. This time it didn’t decide to chuck it down with rain like on the way down, it was just blowing a gale on the exposed and terrifying ridge, and cold too. The 10,000...

Is the S2S seat all that much better compared to the RTL seat?

Doing a Southern Utah road trip that we did on a 2021 RT LTD again on a 2026 Sea to Sky. The Sea to Sky seat is so much more comfortable, it makes a huge difference, especially for the passenger. I’ve no idea about the comfort seat but the S2S seat is in a class of its own, for sure.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Arrived Escalante Tuesday. The road from Tory to Escalante has a part where it runs along the ridge of a rock formation. The road is only as wide as the ridge in parts with several thousand feet straight down each side. And it’s twisty. I apologize to all who drove behind me at 30mph, whilst I’m...

Any hints/tips on Handlebar center bolt removal?

I just took mine out to put in a 1-1/4” riser, Mine had some orange colored thread locker on the bolts. Mine took a 6mm hex driver on a 1/2” drive with a 12” long ratchet. They took a bit of effort. I tightened them just a touch then gave the ratchet a good bop with a rubber mallet. Once I got...

Looking for feedback on Using Cardo vs Sena on a Shoei GT Air III?

Yes, I too only figured it out after researching new helmets for next year. I might switch to some other brand than Shoei though as I think the new idea of requiring the center button release to open the visor might drive me a bit mad on the III versions. I like the simple tab on the side of...

Engine Trouble - intermittently won't start! Any ideas on what to look for?

Check the battery terminals. They can back off over time and then nothing works right. When you say it dies and won’t restart, what exactly does it do? Are all the electrics dead, or does everything light up and the starter won’t do anything, or does the engine turn over and not fire up. The...

3 wheeler crash on the Dragon - was it a Spyder?

Today’s riding was “fun”. Went south on I-15 from the Salt Lake valley to Nephi, then across country to Tory then on to Escalante. It chucked down with rain for half the ride. The speed I was going for the last 40 miles to Escalante was dictated by the road going to 10,000 feet and at some...

Looking for feedback on Using Cardo vs Sena on a Shoei GT Air III?

I got all confused. I have a Shoei Neo Tech II and my wife has a GT-Air II. Both have Sena SRL2 built ins for the Shoei helmets. Although the Sena has its ups and downs over the past 5 years, with the latest firmware they are much more stable. I update them from my Mac every few months or so...

Looking for feedback on Using Cardo vs Sena on a Shoei GT Air III?

I've been using Sena SRL2 with Shoei GT Air II and a regular full face Shoei my wife likes. They've been pretty good, though not perfect. Sometimes they drop, then you have to just press the connect button on the rider's helmet, but that's pretty rare. I would expect the SRL3 to be an...

3 wheeler crash on the Dragon - was it a Spyder?

I’ve gotten too old to give a bugger about what other people think of the speed I’m riding at. My days of riding even 9/10ths on public roads are long gone. Now I’m retired I’ve got nowhere to go that’s so important that I have to arrive at a certain time, especially on my Spyder. I’m...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Don’t you love auto corEctiun. After messing with the stupid display system I’ve got bats in my belfry. I meant Bluetooth, or BT of course. Lol.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I figured it out. You need a Bat connection from the rider to the bike. And a BT connection from the iPhone to the bike. Then the USB cable to the bike and no BT from the iPhone to the helmet. Satanic.
