• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HHC (Hill Hold Control) - what am I doing wrong? Why won't it work?

HHC or not I developed the habit of applying a little throttle when moving from a stopped position so I don't roll back.

    To Windshield or.....

I have had the F4 28" with vent since 2016. I purchased it for its ability to reduce the wind buffering for my sweetheart. We liked it so much that when I traded in our 2014 RTL for a 2022 RTL in April of this year, I removed it and installed it on our new Spyder.

    Must have been thirsty.....

As far as the price per gallon, if you have BP and/or Amoco stations near you, I highly recommend getting the BP/AMOCO credit card. I get 50 cents off per gallon for 60 days, then 15 cents per gallon thereafter. It's great watching the gas pump readjust to the lower price.

What's the polarity of the Spare wire in the frunk?

Is this correct? On my 2014 LTD these fuses controlled the 12 V outlet in the trunk. From the LTD and ST manuals: When fuse 6 is installed, 12V power outlet is only operational when ignition switch is at ON position. When fuse 7 is installed, 12V power outlet is always operational. From the S...

Were You in the Group of Spyders on US-20 in Central Massachusetts June 11th?

I wasn't in the group either but we (US Spyder Ryders Long Island Chapter) met up with the Connecticut, Blackstone Valley, Merrimack Valley, South Shore and Ocean St. Chapters about a month ago. They are all active riding clubs and you can find contact information on usspyderryders.com.

Is this Fender Alignment worth worrying? Any fix ideas?

I'm guessing that one of the previous owners removed the fenders for some reason. If so, it is just a matter of re-adjusting the fender. There are 4 bolts holding the fender to the wheel, just loosen them so you can adjust the fender to its proper position.

Gravel and Minimum Maintenance Roads in SE MN

Thanks for the pictures, interesting riding. Since you ride on gravel and other unpaved surfaces, I suggest that you get the Can-Am Spyder RT Missing Belt Guard 2014-Present with 1330 Engine from Lamonster. I would reach out to him to make sure it fits your ride.

Is there a Factory Battery Tender Plug on 2014 RT Spyders?

Page 150 in the operator's manual has the following note: NOTE: When fuse 6 is installed, 12 V power outlet is only operational when ignition switch is at ON position. When fuse 7 is installed, 12 V power outlet is always operational. If you leave the fuse in 6 and 7 blank, you can plug the...

How come no phone ring sound in the Cardo's in the helmet?

I have the Cardo Packtalk and always hear the phone ring. I would reach out to Cardo customer service before doing a reset as Mikey (post 5) suggested and tell them of the issue. I found them great when I had a problem.

Based on the recommendation of a Spyder owner from Canada who I met at SpyderQuest last Sept. I purchased the Kobalt 35-Piece Standard (SAE) and Metric Combination Polished Chrome Mechanics Tool Set with Hard Case from Lowes. It has every size socket and bit to remove all the panels from my...

Is another extended warranty worth it? Where from?

I purchased a 5 year, 50K mile service contract for under $1,000 in April of 2021 from Patriot Warranty for my 2014 RTL SE. When I purchased this I had 47K miles on my RT, so I am good until April of 2026 or more than 97K miles whichever comes first. After searching and investigating several...

Moving comms from one helmet to another

I have the Packtalk Bold and do exactly what you are suggesting among my helmets a modular, a 3/4 helmet and a half-helmet. My half-helmet does not have speaker pockets so I just purchased an inexpensive 3.5 mm wired ear bud, plug it into the Packtalk Bold and put 1 ear bud in my ear. I wrap...
