• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Solved - Frunk switch not opening - will replacing the switch help?

I did have the cable pull type on my Spyder where turning the key opens the frunk latch one way and the seat latch the other way. I don't know how any competent engineer could think designing something where a small key pulls a cable to unlock something was a good idea. I solved the problem by...

Any other bald riders? Know of any caps with minimal or 'soft' seams that won't leave obvious impressions on my head?

If you wear something between your head and the helmet, you might need to go up one size on the next helmet so it doesn't put so much pressure on your head. Like I said, I don't wear the welder hats under the helmets because I am bald. The main reason I wear them is to avoid sweating on the...

Any other bald riders? Know of any caps with minimal or 'soft' seams that won't leave obvious impressions on my head?

Look up "welder caps". They are made to wear under a welding hood that attaches to a hard hat. Amazon got plenty of them. I'm not bald, but I wear the welder caps under helmets. They are made to wear backward. The bill is to keep hot sparks from going down your collar and setting your shirt on...

Solved - Frunk switch not opening - will replacing the switch help?

Does it have an electrical solenoid, or just the usual cable inside a cover to open the frunk lock? The usual set up was one way turning the switch opens the frunk latch, the other way unlocks the seat. The parking brake was always a completely different, electrically controlled circuit off a...

I bought the dryer because I was working 12 hour mid-nights (7PM-7AM), 7 days a week. Your solar rope does not work after dark, and I need to sleep, so the summer afternoon, daily rains would wet whatever I hung on the solar line, in the morning. From the first day I bought the dryer (used) it...

Right! Originally I was going to put some thin metal siding on it. Once I got it running and saw I could check the belt, drain and clean the pump, or anything else without removing any side covers, I decided to leave it like that. Saves time and easy to keep check on belt tension, and other things.

In case anybody is curious what a real antique washing machine looks like, I went out to the old shop and took a picture of it. The dryer side of it is about the same age, but no obvious signs of rebuilding. It has had the belt changed a few times, and the bearings changed every time the belt...

Drive belt life - at what milage/years does it need to be replaced? Or just carry one?

I put 350,000+ miles on a 2001 Harley XL converted to trike with narrowed 9 inch Ford rear end. Had to replace belts about every 50,000 miles. A few of them went over 100,000. Long trips I carried a spare. Had 2 identical engines for it. One was always repaired and waiting on the engine stand...

I have always been willing to go to the junk piles behind appliance shops and find a junked out one with the parts I need to repair mine. The side panels rusted away long ago. It is an old top loader and I put a rough cut 2X4 frame on it, left open on the front and sides, and the top, with the...
