• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone tried a Ramp for the rear wheel to make adding air easier?

If these things were free I still don't think people would use them.

Where is the best spot for Jack placement?

What can you say regarding this subject? I guess it would be something I heard years ago as a kid. "There's more than one way to skin a Cat." LOL

Where is the best spot for Jack placement?

Mine's a 14RT and with the correct tools and knowing how to use them (from several screwups) and with the valve stem at or near the 4/5 o'clock position, I can easily (almost) air up the rear tire w/o getting my knees dirty. I carry a second set of those tools in the frunk if I need to air up...

Where is the best spot for Jack placement?

I'm not really sure why you'd have to get down on your knees or lay down just to air up or check the air pressure in your rear tire if you have the correct air chuck. I've screwed around with several different methods and air tools but the simplest seems to be the best. I fill everything with 18...

Can-Am does some things right, others not so much

I've always worn glasses for obvious reasons. I ride my spyder with the windshield just up off the bottom primarily to keep the adjusting arm from cracking and breaking. I've become accustomed to a little less slipstream the older I get.

Where is the best spot for Jack placement?

Place a short length of 2x6 under the rear shock bolt. Make sure it's long enough to reach both sides of the swing arm.

Anthony, does that last Xmas ornament have a tone to it or are you just screwing with me?

    Cat Delete Pipe Recommendations?

Aside from engine, exhaust, ECU, and external modifications, MPG gain or loss however you look at it is pretty much related to the twist of the wrist.

    Cat Delete Pipe Recommendations?

Try slipping the baffle into the other end. I don't think it cares which end the baffle is in as long as it fits.

Baldwin Ironworks Cat Delete vs Lamonster's - preferences/recommendations?

"Wonder if I can just put a new rivet in myself where they're leaking." Yes you can. But be careful and choose the right sized drill to cut off the head of the rivet. You may consider replacing all of them and repack the muffler. 2bros recommends you do that every so often. Remember, rivets come...

What Communication devices do you use between rider/pillion & other riders in your group?

I have the SENA system and I've found multi-communication too distracting. The only communication I let in is my passenger (wife), and incoming cellphone calls, which I tell those, "Call you back later. Bye." If it's a serious or emergency call, I'll find a safe place to pull off the road and...

Baldwin Ironworks Cat Delete vs Lamonster's - preferences/recommendations?

Rotax built a lot of potential HP into their 1330 but CARB and others don't or won't allow all that suppressed HP to be unleashed. However Monster, Dynojet, and others have come to the rescue.

Baldwin Ironworks Cat Delete vs Lamonster's - preferences/recommendations?

I guess what I'm alluding to here is referred to as Brake Horsepower and you are emphasizing Engine Horsepower. If it were possible to dyno test a Spyder with an OEM ECU and then a Stage2 ECU we should see an increase in Horsepower, ie; Brake Horsepower. Am I correct here?

    Starship troopers are here

I think I'll opt for the VTOLA. They look safer to me, at least most of them did.

Baldwin Ironworks Cat Delete vs Lamonster's - preferences/recommendations?

Is it that our spyder's 1330 comes to us from BRP detuned? I understand there's no physical change to the engine itself, but when I changed the ECU something definitely changed the spyder's performance. It seems to me there was some sequestered power somewhere in there waiting to be released. If...

Baldwin Ironworks Cat Delete vs Lamonster's - preferences/recommendations?

They both do the same thing. They reduce weight and increase sound. That's pretty much it. Your ECU self adjusts to compensate for the changeover and keeps your spyder stock. I did the cat delete and installed a 2Bro's muffler. After that, I installed stage 2 and that's when things really got...

I'm amazed at my age and how I can still remember things. The difficult part is finding where I put what I was trying to remember.

2014 RT right turn indicator on dash not working, but light is! Any ideas?

I did this years ago. Never concentrate on the dash lights particularly when changing lanes. LED light strips on the mirrors are super easy to install but don't last very long. They tend to go out 3 LEDs at a time until they're all gone. Easy to replace though. It just takes $$$$ to do it.

How do you display a Handicap Placard ??

No! But I think you have the best idea I've heard of so far. I struggle with the same issue. What's worse are the dirty looks and snide remarks people make when I park my spyder in a HC parking spot. When I applied for my first replacement "hanging tag," which was stolen, I was informed that...
