• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Heated Grip usage

I just switched from an '12 RS to a '16 F3 Limited Special Series, and I love the heated grips. They just have a push button for on and off. Haven't found anything on the dash to say if it's on or off, but it gets warm quick. However, remember to turn it back off when you're done or when you...

Going to Dealership Tomorrow for 2015 RT -- Please Advise.

Mine wasn't a planned purchase either. Saw them on a Saturday, and thought they were cool. Went back on Monday and bought it. Tuesday I went and got the permit and went back to the dealer and dad got one too. Played all day Wednesday, and took the test on Thursday.

    Illegal Spyder???

Fog lights are. That's why when highbeams are activated, the vehicle shuts off the either OR both the low and fogs. Parking/side marking lights are still required.. and the fender lights also may be required under certain states cause the front wheels are wider then the chassis and body of the...

    Who doesn't have a garage

I use the outdoor storage cover from BRP. It's a great cover and fits perfectly. They had to throw that in when I bought my Spyder, then dad made them do the same thing for his RT.

    Bum Dealer?

I don't see a price incentive on preordering right now, but don't they say something about a 3 year extended coverage for the preseason sale?

Can we have a reasonable discussion about this?

I've had several four wheelers, currently I have two BRP units even, that use both a hand lever and a foot lever to actuate the rear brakes. Granted they are not ABS systems, but it's more then doable. I believe the brakes on the Spyder should say connected as one computer controlled unit, but...

    The Verdict--2016

I like the F3T in triple black. It's kinda like the RT for solo riders that want just a little more pep on take off.

    2016 Spyder...what's your guess?

In the videos, it looks like the 3 Spyders are the F3, followed by an F3 with RT style mirrors and a windscreen, and the RT bringing up the rear.

    A New September Spyder??

Some RS love and maybe a re-work of the RT rear end? Top loading side compartments? The new trailers have new taillights that would work well for a top load design.

    Got my first Spyder-hater

The only time I am approached by a hater, they are always in a vehicle and not their bike. I just say "I'm riding and using mine, where is yours again?" I don't even wait for a response, and I put on my helmet and ride off.

    2016 Spyder line-up

I have been expecting them to offer a smaller CC motor in the "entry" level RS. With the Maverick having a turbo option for the second year, I don't think it's too far stretch to see them putting one in a Spyder. I just hope they got the clown colors out of their system.

    Check your insurance policy

I'm having trouble with mine, but that's because the cost of it jumped a whole $226 a year all of a sudden. Called and asked what's up, and it turns out, my VIN number comes back as invalid in their system. I asked for a check to cover my now stolen bike since the VIN is invalid :D didn't work...

    Slingshot has me curious!

I wanted one, that is until I had a chance to sit in one. Instantly knew it wasn't for me. It's no longer cool to me, and no longer gets my attention.

    Carrying Concealed

I always carry, regardless on Spyder or truck, and it's usually a FiveseveN but I do carry an FNX 45 tac with TLR-2 and RMR from time to time. Big, yes, but wearing the proper clothing to accommodate it, it works. IWB is the style of holster I prefer to use, normally 3 - 4 position.

Does your local group function at all ?

I would guess that the Spyder population is too small in most areas to actually support a club.
