• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I shared a story on Can-Am's Facebook page and was told I should share here also

Don't be surprised!! If I hadn't had to get back as soon as I did, she was already planning where she could ride next. She is also looking into getting her motorcycle permit so that when she comes up to visit in May she'll be legal. She's also already telling me about how great of a ride it...

Anyone else have a rear shock blow out after only about 6000 miles?

As I said, I'm NOT a mechanic... ...and I'm not entirely certain I understand your question (please forgive my stupidity!). I'll answer as best I can. It was as if there was NOTHING there but the spring (again, if the big thing that LOOKS like a spring isn't actually called a spring, my...

I shared a story on Can-Am's Facebook page and was told I should share here also

Here it is - as I posted it on their Facebook page: I just wanted to post a testament to how easy it is to learn to ride a Spyder. I bought mine back in March and love it. I'm up in CT, but my parents live in GA. My mom turned 70 on Saturday. To surprise her, I rode down to visit on my...

Anyone else have a rear shock blow out after only about 6000 miles?

I just got back from a ride to GA and back (from CT) and about halfway down, the shock went. When I got down there, I called the emergency number BRP gave me and all they did was give me the number for the closest dealer. I called them and they wouldn't be able to get the parts in time to get...

Cornin vs Ultimate Seat... which one and why?

I think you'll get LOTS of opinions on which is better... ...but I think that ultimately (no pun intended there) you'll have to sit on each one and decide for yourself. I bought mine (an Ultimate) back in June after sitting on a Corbin and not finding it that comfortable (for me). I'm very...

Going for my first LONG ride and looking for any advice you may have...

I've been on plenty of trips up to about three hours each way but I'm getting ready to take the bike down to Georgia to visit my folks. It's close to 1000 miles each way and since it's my first really long ride, I thought I'd ask the experts here and see if anyone has any particular...

    Frunk not closing well

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions! I'll try some of those this week and see if makes a difference (especially the one about lubricating - even being a dummy mechanically, I can handle that one!). Thanks again!!! Gary

    Frunk not closing well

Has anyone else had a problem with the frunk not closing well? I have a 2012 RT Limited (bought new in March). It used to close just fine but I find that now in order to get it to close (and latch) I really have to slam it pretty hard. If anyone else HAS had this problem, do you know if...

    Question??? With all respect.

Very well written, well thought out (and perfect) response I'm in a similar position to you. I'm a bit older (52) but also have no health issues that prevent me from riding something else. I came to the whole bike/trike thing late in life (got my motorcycle license last year after riding for...

SpyderQuest- Who's staying at the Studio Motel? Name and home base

    Extended warranty

The dealer told me that the $50 deductible was per use, not necessarily per problem.

Has anyone had issues with the GPS that comes with the Limited?

The dealer simply referred me back to Garmin initially for this. Garmin sent me a second unit which was also promptly fried. After finding that it did this to two units in a row that's when I suspected it wasn't just the Garmin. I took it back to the dealer again at that point (the bike had...

    Most popular color

I have to agree... ...but then I'm a little prejudiced about that since I also have the Lava Bronze with a brown/tan seat (after market seat though).

Has anyone had issues with the GPS that comes with the Limited?

I'm afraid it wasn't that simple I used both Garmin's WebUpdater client and their Garmin Express software and updated the unit as soon as I received it. Garmin themselves while on the phone agreed that I had done all that I could on my end. It appears that they were somehow fried because of...

This may have come up before, but if so I couldn't find it...

Am I the only weird person that has named their bike? My wife certainly thinks it's kind of strange (but then she thinks I'm a bit off anyway). I named mine Mia - after Mia Tyler (she's a plus-sized model, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith's daughter and Liv Tyler's sister). I figure my Mia is just...

GPS not working through radio speakers

I can say that you CAN get it to come out of the speakers It took a lot of tinkering between myself and the dealer (I only live about three miles away so that makes that part easy) but I have no issue having it come from the speakers. I have the Sena headset and haven't been able to get it to...

I actually just saw that... ...I'll do that first thing in the morning. If I don't put down the laptop and pay attention to my wife I may not be around to come up there in September!!
