• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what year did the SE5 come out in

An 2009 SE5 for $12-$13K? I wish I knew where you shop. Prices I have seen are mid to high $14k. In Cal. you can add $1000-$1500. Heck the lowest price I have seen in Ca on new is $13500 for a plain sm5. They Advertise at less but then add set up and freight. On E-bay also, low price but...

    Back to the shop :(

:agree: Maybe a lemon law, if in the shop for the same problems. It would make for good customer relations if nothing else.

My Spyder is back. Hard for me to believe.

I would love to take ride, but the Hayward,Ca dealer on does so weekdays before 2pm. Then is this area it is city traffic or freeway, not exactly what I would want. The Livermore ,Ca dealer has a better place to ride , but no demo bikes, at least what they told me, keep telling me the demo...

    What about the extended warranty?

I guess I am not a VIP. One dealer I asked about this offer did not reply. I was also asking for an OTD price on a 2009 New. I do not know where you find good dealers, but the ones I have tried to get info from ignore me, so they won't be gettinag any of my hard earned money anytime soon.

My Spyder is back. Hard for me to believe.

These type of doom and gloom stories are making me reconsider even trying to buy a Spyder. While maybe a lot on the board have had few problems With my luck I wouldn't be one of the lucky ones. If I find a used Spyder under warranty, is the anyway to check to see what problems the Spyder has...

    Opinion: is BRP losing sales?

It might be worth the time and money to rent one in gold country (CA) 4 hour rental about $200 with ins. If I want to rent a hotel could rent for 24 hours for just a few more $$$.. I guess time will tell. The one mod that would be absolutely need is the handlebars.

    Opinion: is BRP losing sales?

I am still looking. A late model (under warranty) would be best. My problem no test ride. Hayward does but not when I can. The Livermore dealer doesn't seem to have demo bikes on a regular basis, and I can't get a reply from them. I will not be putting the miles on a lot here do. I just...

    Opinion: is BRP losing sales?

    1. Don't know if the 1" riser would work for me neither dealers has had anything I could sit on to check. Local dealer is thumbs down on adj. risers. claims unsafe. 2. windshield just going by what some have said about more buffeting. 3. Don't know what seat I saw and sat on but it just had a...

    Opinion: is BRP losing sales?

opinion Actually I am talking more about options in house. Like you go by a car an can have leather or not, nav or not, etc I wish you had more options in house from the mfg. Regarding a perfect ride I don't think there is such a thing, at least for me.

    Opinion: is BRP losing sales?

I am NOT a Spyder owner. Haven't even been able to take a test ride. Local Dealers Just playing games IMHO. I was wondering thou. Most Spyder owners Seemed to have done Mods to their Spyder. Yet very few options seem to be available from BRP. 1. Real handlebar risers, 1 inch spacer doesn't...

    What about the extended warranty?

The extended warranty from BRP is a summer promotion. Buy any NEW (from dealer) 2008-2010 Spyder and you get the extra year warranty. This deal supposedly ends 7/31/2010.

    What about the extended warranty?

I understand understand what they are telling me. I am just going by the info the sellers are telling me. Only one dealer said they would help with shipping. Just like ebay, buyer responsible for shipping/pick up. I know of one a 2008, with some toys only 4k miles out of warranty but can't...

    What about the extended warranty?

Thanks , but I don't own a Spyder. I am looking at used ones and most the warranties have expired, too much $$$ or too far away. (I am in CA. Bay area). Can't justify the cost of a new one and the 09 closeouts are not local.

    What about the extended warranty?

extended warranty What about a used Spyder from a private party? 2 local dealers and neither repiled. Speed-Sports in Livermore, CA said they would get me a price and get back to me NOT. Claimed one they honor is a better deal for the customer. No reply yet. Hayward, Ca. dealer just...

    Dealer setup and freight

I do not know what the problem with sellers both dealers and private parties who have Spyders for sale. I rarely get a reply, they ignore my questions or tell me they will get back to me and don't. I have tried Cycletrader and out of at least a dozen request 1 reply. Craigslist isn't any...

    Dealer setup and freight

I agree with most of what is being discussed. However I still wonder about excessive charges for freight and set up. I thought one I saw on Ebay (San Diego) was high at $695 until I saw Haywards prices. The San Diego dealer is offer a 2009 or $13000, but he is keeping the $1000 from BRP...

    Dealer setup and freight

What problems on a 2010? Speedsports in Livermore does a buyer some favors (still need to know bottom line). They give buyers a discount on shop rate. They bump you to the head of the line, unless other buyers (theirs) are in line. And according to the guy I talked to, on some service you can...
