• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Paint Chip

Viper Red Touch Up Paint. I posted this a while back, in response to another post about Viper Red touch up paint: "Thanks for the tip on the Chrysler High Performance Red PR3 being a good match for the Can Am Viper Red color. I like to keep a small bottle of paint on hand as a just in case for...

    Hello From Oregon Territory.

Follow Up. Got the Spyder back from the 600 mile service yesterday. Sure glad I checked the right panel at the dealer (good tip picked up from this forum, so thanks)--it would have blown off on the way home, since the right panel didn't have the upper tab seated properly. Also had some warranty...

Paint Match For BRP's Viper Red

Viper Red Paint. Thanks for the tip on the Chrysler High Performance Red PR3 being a good match for the Can Am Viper Red color. I like to keep a small bottle of paint on hand as a just in case for any nicks or rock hits, and I don't understand why BRP doesn't provide bottles of touch up paint...

    New ST Limited Stalling

Stall Speed. Well, I really appreciate this thread, as my 2012 RT-S has stalled three times now (at 40 mph, then at a stop light, and the last time while at the gas pumps on the way to the dealer, 120 miles away), and it acted like it was going to stall while getting onto I-84, but it pulled...

    Goldwing to Spyder ...

Gold Wing to Spyder. I did what you're thinking about doing, and I'm 59 years old. And I agree totally with what akspyderman wrote. I rode nothing but Honda for 30 years, but sold the Wing last summer, and bought a Spyder RT-S. The first time I came to a stop, for a nano second, I thought...

    Hello From Oregon Territory.

Thanks for the messages! And, with 250 miles on the odo, I haven't checked the battery connections, but will, and might get to the dealer before the 600 mile service, too. Bye. <M>

    Hello From Oregon Territory.

Mike and Chris here, in La Grande, Oregon. What a wealth of information I've gathered from this forum--I've been following this web site since last summer. Short story--moved to Oregon from Minneapolis in '78. Spent the next 30 years working commercial motor carrier traffic at weigh stations...

Tell your story. What was the moment you knew you had to have a Spyder?

Had been thinking about one..... .........for a while, and then had the chance to sit on one last Spring at our Blue Knights Spud Run in Boise. Much easier for the wife to get up and onto the pillion seat of the Spyder than it was for her to get on our Wing, and I like the stability, too. So...

Spyder possibly over heating when summer hits

Temperature. I bought my Spyder from a dealer in the Columbia Basin, in Kennewick, Washington, last July. Rode the 120 miles home in hot, hot weather. Was 105 degrees F. heading up Cabbage Hill, which is 6 miles of 6% grade near Pendleton, Oregon. I, too, was concerned with overheating, as...

    need advice re:prescription glasses

Whatever you get......... ..........make sure to try 'em with the helmet on. I've got prescription Foster Grant's tear drops, and the bows are big enough to be uncomfortable inside my full face HJC. I got another set of prescription glasses, by Guess, with Transitions lens. The bows are...

Spyder Limp Home mode shows up in Fords!

Limping home........ Actually, I had the "limp home" mode kick in on my one year old (at the time) F-150--that was almost two years ago. Turned out Ford had to replace a board--can't remember if it was called the PGM, or PRM board--something in the alphabet soup category. In any event, had it...

Spyder Limp Home mode shows up in Fords!

Limp Home, how do you know when driving......... Oh, a-hem, Mr. Otter! Like some Harley riders say: if I had to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand!

How many spyder riders are on here from MN?

From Minnesota.......... When you say FROM Minnesota, I grew up in south Minneapolis, so does that count, even though we moved to the Pacific Northwest? :) It's kind of like this: you can take the boy out of Minneapolis, but you can't take Minneapolis out of the boy. Bye. <M>

    Dash Board & Tach

Dash Spydertrike, I noticed the exact same thing with smears on the inside of my dash when I picked up my new RT-S at the dealer last summer, and I mentioned it right on the spot. They took pictures of the smears, and the smears showed up on the photos really good. They forwarded the shots to...
