• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    First time towed. Need assitance

First time towed. Fixed! See "fixed" post at end of thread. I went riding yesterday to burn up some gas and see how the new gas gauge works. Pulled into a Mickeys for lunch (fortunately my home town) and when it was time to leave, I pushed the button. I got a short noise and then a second...

    Uh-oh...

dialectric grease Somewhere in my shop manual it said never to put such grease on the relay pins. The warning was pretty dire and said something about a pale horse.

    Fuel gauge & temp.

Cluless: actually the other end. It won't go high enough. What I was told in an E-mail was that being 10 ohms short might be a good thing as you would have more gas than you thought. I don't think the guy understood that Spyders are backwards. In any event, I couldn't get a clear picture from...

    Digital vs Analog Replacement Gauges

Cougar: It depends on what you want to display. I bought Intellitronix digital fuel level and water temp. White numbers on a black background. Turns out the Intellitronix fuel level gauge does not have enough range for the Spyder sensor and I could not get it to function. I was sure that...

    Fuel gauge & temp.

That's what I thought too. But, even with the temp sensor hooked to the new gauge (doesn't work) the bar graph displays remain. My theory is that the gauges have such a high input resistance that the OEM computer doesn't "see" them. Supposedly, even having one gauge hooked up is supposed to...

    Fuel gauge & temp.

I am in the middle of setting the empty setpoint. I've got to put some miles and burn some more fuel. I set the empty point with the fuel siphoned out as far as I could. Apparently the shape of the tank must interfere with getting the hose all the way to the bottom. On the other hand, I don't...

    Fuel gauge & temp.

More ino and some pix Yes, that is the one. They have a lot of options so it is easy to get lost. The more expensive versions have push buttons on the gauge itself for setting functions. I didn't want that so I went with a cheaper one. On the panel picture you can see a push button hanging out...

    Fuel gauge & temp.

Howdy... My 2011 RT did not have the aux fuel and temp gauges. The price for the two gauges from the factory is over $200.00 So, I did some research and experimentation and ended up with a fuel gauge and temp gauge from Speedhut. Mine has a little spider logo on it and when put into "night"...

    RT hose size?

Anybody measured the inside diameter for the upper radiator hose? I have looked through a shop manual and see nothing. I would like to cut the upper hose and install an aluminum temp gauge sender adaptor in the upper hose near the radiator. Obviously, I could just cut the line and then measure...

    Spokane Spyder's?

That's good news! Out of curiousity, did you already have the rear suspension kit or did you buy it at the same time as the service? I would like to do the same mod.

    Spokane Spyder's?

Spokane dealer I ended up buying a plain RT from Lynwood. They delivered it here right to my house free. (280 miles or so) I started out at Roundy's but they have a strange attitude towards the plain RTs and refuse to order them. The sales guy said he had some in the past and had trouble...

How many Spyders do we have in Washington?

East sider Spokane (actually sorta Cheney) here. RT.
