• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    helmet lock

I saw this one today in Cycle World and it looks well made and of course expensive, but so are our helmets. If this can be fitted to our :spyder:in other places than the bars ? it would be great, the cable goes through the chin bar making it very secure. This company is out of San Fransisco CA...

Benefit of bright/extreme colour riding gear

I use a simple item I was given, a very visable bright orange and white reflective plastic type waistcoat item (like you see used by state roadworks workers) that just slips over my leather jacket. I think they sell them at the Ex Service stores. It folds down so small you can put in your pocket...

    Do I make the Switch?

Last year I have major surgery's and can no longer handle my Ultraglide. It stood in the garage for many months, it was hard to part with it being that I have ridden from the west coast to Sturgis twice on it plus the Millwalkie ride and many other great events. Then along came the Spyder, I...

    Sturgis

First time I went we stayed at a state owned campground just south of Rapid city, Can't remember the name offhand. A couple of years ago we stayed at a KAO at Devils Tower Wyoming, we took a small cabin at that time, very basic mattress but it was better than a tent and they had a great cafe...

How fast can Spyder really take a curve? Fess up.

It just seems faster than it really is I have been riding bikes since the begining of time it feels like, however it took me quite a while to get used to the :spyder:. Once you have a few hundred miles on it (it took me about 500 to really understand it) your confindence will be gained and you...

I just could not resist it.

I was just reading the new April issue of Cycle World (Got a full page BRP Spyder add too) when I came across an article about Ernst Henne. Our 'younger' members may not have heard of him but he held a speed record for motorcycles for 14 years (173.7 mph) with his somewhat modified BMW. After...
