• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Why we like Ys

The Brudeli website has a few vids on the leanster. Impressive.

    Why we like Ys

My apologies to all....I shoulda' used the search feature :banghead:. That's what I get for being a noobie late for dinner....I miss out on all of the good conversations at the big table :chat:

    Why we like Ys

57 views and no comments good or bad? Hmmm. I would think this is a direction BRP could go for those who want a more spirited ride in the Y-config type rigs. Are there no riders here who want to ride like this? BTW...I'm not a spokeman for the leanster and I don't mean to come across like...

    No Power Stearing

Is it possible to program the steering so that it steers faster/easier? I've ridden Palomar countless of times since 1989 on my motorcycles and based on the SE5 test-ride I took, I imagine a spirited ride up and down the east and south grades would be an arm and shoulder work-out....never mind...

    Why we like Ys

Ok...not a Spyder, but Spyder-like. Costs twice as much, but is it twice as much fun? You get to lean like a single-tracker, but you don't get to feel the high-G sensation of a parallel-tracker when flatassing through the turns. Check out the videos. Would you buy one if it costs the same as a...

Same in California. Probably the same in all 50 states. Amber works, tho, but it might confuse oncoming traffic at night.

    Wider front tires

What's the bolt pattern, hub center size, and and offset of the stock Spyder front wheel? BTW, nice set-up Spydyr!

    BRP Hand Brake?

Sounds like they are sticking to their guns inasmuch as Eric Buell sticks with his inside-out front brake...just to be "different".

    BRP Hand Brake?

How expensive is expensive? As an avid KLR650 owner, any mod that's not free, costs more than $10, or is made to function outside of its intended design is considered "expensive" ie. the ole' used milk-crate carrying box/rack :D But seriously....what kind of cash outlay are we talking about...

    Holy Smokes!!!

Me, too. My Muzzy "horn" woke up the ditz in her BMW as she was about to rub me out and into a semi on my left. My feeble OEM horn would've been, well, a feeble attempt to get her attention. That being said, I'll be the first to admit that there are limits to how loud we could be. Waaaay too...

    Now mine....

Looks almost '06 Kawasaki Z1000-like...might be visually cool to have it on both sides ala the Z1000...dunno about the performance, tho. Nice mods ataDude! http://www.seastarsuperbikes.co.uk/KAWASAKIMODELS/Kawasaki%20%2006%20800/ZR1000a/06zr1000a_sil_rs800.jpg

    Antifreeze

Thanks for the heads-up re coolant leaks. I have too many pets running around my house and I don't want then harmed when the Spyder comes home. I think I'm going to take a long ride and take the Spyder up to operating temps, park it on the dealership lot, then look for coolant leaks. If there...

    Noobie's 1st test-ride report

I'm new to this site and I'm going to guess that this has already been stated, but the Spyder brochure is absolutely correct: Operating a Spyder involves an "active riding style". WHAT FREEKIN' A RUSH!!! :2thumbs: I recently took a 20min test ride through a curvy undulating road that...

    SE5 gear change thump!

Ooooh...I guess its only a matter of time before we see hybrid Spyder-like rigs with regenerative braking electric motor power source

    Spyder racing?

I'm a longtime motorcyclist and new to the world of Spyders. My wife is not a motorcyclist and WILL NOT get on the back of a motorcycle with me, but she has expressed more than moderate interest in riding with me or me riding with her at the controls of a Spyder  I hope to acquire a Spyder...
