• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Required tools

I will be installing a set of Diamond R armrest this weekend, aka, the wife's first farkle. Looking under the seat, I noticed that the screws have a Torx head on them. What is the size of the Torx? Can you guys and gals recommend a starter set of tools I should buy. Mostly for the easier...

    BRP welcome pack

My friend has a 2010 Spyder. He purchased it new. A few months after he got, BRP sent him a welcome package that included a patch, some literature, and some other items. Is this something they still do? I just purchased 2 months ago, and was wondering if I should be expecting something in the mail.

    Helmet cleaning

Ok, this may sound weird. How do I clean the inside of my helmet? I rode Sunday. I stored my helmet in the side compartment. I took it out yesterday for a ride and it has an awful smell. My head does tend to sweat a lot with the helmet on. Just wondering if anybody else experienced this issue.

    Advice on cleaning

Cheap dryer sheets work very well on bugs. wet the surface, wet the sheet and the bugs wipe right off. I've been doing this on my vehicles for years and never had an issue with my paint finishes.

    Spyder wash

Has anybody used this? Do you think it would be okay to wash my spyder with this? I have the triple black paint scheme, and was wandering if it would be good for the matte finishes as well as the other finishes. With the new bike, I guess I'm kind of paranoid and want to make sure I'm using the...

    Another question

So, when riding at highway speeds, and you have to slow and make a turn off the highway, is it okay to downshift manually from 4th or 5th gear down to 1st or 2nd? If I let the bike downshift on it's own, it seems to shift kinda slow, and I find myself making a turn in 3rd gear. Also, I've read...

    My First Farkle....sort of :)

So, a few days prior to purchasing my Spyder, my wife made me assure her that I would be satisfied with the bike as is, and that as soon as I drove it home I wouldn't want to immediately start adding all kinds of extras $$$. Of course I told her that the bike I wanted was fully loaded and I was...

    Shifting into first gear

I'm a new owner, and let me say this, I have learned a lot so far from this forum. I've noticed that the people on here don't hesitate to answer questions without passing judgment no matter how "rookie" the questions may sound. Thank you for that. I hope to be able to answer questions one day.
