• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ram Mount

I use the ram mount from providence spyder accessories. I bought two, one for each side and installed them backwards from what their video shows. It looked cleaner to me that way! I mount my camera on one and phone in the X mount on the other.

    Great day for a ride!

Yesterday was a near perfect day in the Houston area. Five of us were fortunate enough to be able to take advantage and get in a 250 mile ride on a weekday. We had the roads almost to ourselves and had a blast. :ohyea: Here's the video...

    Video from last Sunday

Got out for a 150 mile ride last weekend. It was a partly sunny day of about 45 degrees with a 20 mph north wind. This is the type of roads I like to ride. Spydie got a little dirty...I now know the front tires throw mud on the panniers and the rear tire buries the monoshock with mud pretty...

new to spyders too desertryder, I bought my STL a couple weeks ago and have put about 400 on her. 2014 Spyder STS

A little heat I have a 2014 STL and have noticed a little heat. Have only had it for 3 weeks, so not enough saddle time or temp conditions to say whether there's an actual problem or not. I know how hot it gets in Waco, so it's good for you to investigate this!!! Good luck and keep us posted on...

    A Saturday breakfast ride

Here is a video from a breakfast ride yesterday. We made a 150 mile loop heading south. Pretty flat down there, but enough turns and scenery to make a nice ride. It would be awesome to have a video section on the forum. Hope you enjoy!!!

solo To be honest I prefer to ride solo. I don't really want my wife or daughter riding and therefore don't encourage it.

Got any long trips planned for the Spyder?

I really liked seeing the Spyder on the Dalton Hwy in post #26. Thank you! A ride to Alaska has been a dream ride for awhile now...hopefully it will be realized one day. For now, we're planning an overnight ride to a ranch outside Victoria, Tx. There will be some offroad riding there and...

Installed a couple of brackets to the handlebar controls that use the ram mount. Left side will hold my cam and right side will hold phone or drink holder. Very clean bracket. Also wired in a Gerbing 12 volt port for heated gear. Here's the pics!

    Problems with tight corners

new to Spyders I've only had my ST for 2 weeks now and, after riding two wheels for 40 years, I know it will take time and miles to get used to this :spyder2: I have never ridden a traditional trike, only a three wheel atv, but have a feeling they corner worse than a CanAm. :yikes: Hang in...
