• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

People asking questions about the Spyder

I'm pretty sure I'd have a short circuit if I came out and some rando was on my bike. Maybe the military stickers keep them away, maybe people have better sense here in Texas but.... No. Just no.

People asking questions about the Spyder

I've noticed the Harley guys tend to have their head down and both hands on the bars. I thought it was fear of their parts falling off the bike because they're so expensive to repair.

People asking questions about the Spyder

I would nod and wink and say "I know. You should see where they put the afterburner from the leftover jet parts from the old airplanes that are junked every year" and just tap the trunk.... Wow. I mean...I did comment to my C.O. that his looked like a snowmobile on wheels ... then I bought...

People asking questions about the Spyder

Is it possible to be out and about and not have people randomly stop and ask questions about the bikes? I was at the VA today, at a red light, in first gear and waiting to take off and a guy walked up to me...at the red light... and started asking questions. We covered everything we could in...

Can I use car tires on my 2011 RT?

I've spent the last hour and a half-ish reading through the threads on tires.....Sorry about creating another. Just wow. I find it interesting that locations refuse to change out our tires with whatever we choose because of in house lawyers but..that's life.

Can I use car tires on my 2011 RT?

And this is why I asked. I'm still learning the site so I've found that the best way to find out is...ask.

Can I use car tires on my 2011 RT?

I was looking at my RT's tires and giving it some thought. They LOOK like regular car tires (a bit small but...) so, despite the "special motorcycle tires" label on the tires, could I replace them, when the time comes, with regular car tires? I'm sure some of yall have already done the...

    2011 RT gas gauge plug

I used superglue to repair the little ears on the plug and now have a working 12v cigarette lighter. I tied it into the analog gauge wires.

    2011 RT gas gauge plug

I had no idea what they were called so I was at a standstill

    2011 RT gas gauge plug

On my RT (as I think is the standard) where the analog gas gauge goes, it has a neat little plastic plug to cover the hole. I was installing a GPS tonight and broke the arms that hold the plug in. Anyone have any ideas on leads to find one or two (or...I don't know, six just in case) of these...

    Almost hit a semi today

On my 07 VTX 1300, I had done two panic stops before and both times the rear tire locked and slid the bike sideways so I was expecting something like that. I'm very thankful that little bike stops like it does though...why the hell did Can Am give her such a small brake pedal?

    Army's new uniform

I bought my dress blues to go to the inauguration and it was about $800 ish for the set. I imagine when the new ones are out proper that I'll wind up getting a set of those. I personally like the dress greens.

    Almost hit a semi today

I hadn't ordered the extended brake pedal until today, I didn't think I needed it. If I hadn't had my foot squarely on that pedal or if it had slipped for just a second, I'd have eaten that trailer. GET THE EXTENDED PEDAL. I have mine on it's way as of now. She's not off the road until it...

    CPAP thoughts?

I absolutely love my CPAP. I was stopping breathing 70 times an hour and was tired all of the time and angry quite a bit. The VA issued me one and with this newest one I can check all of the stats on it on my phone. If they handed her one, let her try it and see how it works. It changes your...

    Almost hit a semi today

Today I tested out the Spyder's brakes from 65 to zero. I was cruising back from town after working out and a semi pulling a flatbed trailer decided to look at me coming and pull long ways across the highway and park there, blocking all oncoming traffic for a good 2 minutes. When he did this, I...

    80 MPH Sustained

The day I bought mine, I rode my 2011 RT just over 6 hours at 70ish mph without issue. That wind will dehydrate you though. Get a camelback.

    2011 RT Question

I appreciate all of the help. Thank yall so very much. I just need to find a cigarette lighter that will just plug in there and I"m golden.

    2011 RT Question

What fillers did yall use to cover the holes up? Just cut a hole out of the gauge plug that is there? Is there something Can Am makes that would make it look factory instead of like a retarded monkey with a Dremel got a hold of my bike (as that's exactly what it would look like).

    2011 RT Question

I've had my RT about 5 days now and have been steadily poking at it to figure out what I can and can't mess with without breaking something expensive which led me to notice that my RT doesn't have manual gauges like some of yall's. Here's my question. Those gauge ports are covered up by very...
