• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rancherie Gas Tried to call the Rancheria Lodge to see if they have gas. Could not get through however. Maybe someone else more familiar with calling in Canada can try. Bought 2 roto pax 1.75 gas cans in case. If you search for Rancheria Lodge Yukon you can find the number but I guess there are...

2012 Mileage I pull a trailer with my 2012 998. There is no way I can make 165 miles between gas stops. Should my wife and I simply plan our own gas stops? I can do about 130 depending on speed and rolling terrain?

    Touring Hydration System

Camelback Location Option I hang my Camelpack from the left handle bar on my Spyder RT. I bought about 18 inches of tubing and a connector from REI so I can drink from the pack while riding. Works quite well.

More on Camera The pics and movies are pretty good. What I really like is the size and being able to take pics one handed. Just point and click. I keep the camera on a lanyard around my neck. It also is water resistant and actally can take pics underwater to about 1 meter.

Camera I finally found a dumb simple camera to record our adventures in Alaska. It has one button. You can take stills or movies with one click or one long click. It is about 5 inches long. When you hold it, it turns on. It looks like an inverted inhalater. It is very easy to use while on a...

Owners Event Info you've been waiting for

Owner's Event I agree that BRP gets very little return on its investment in the owner's event. But, by supporting 7 projects, it will get more owner's participation and not have to deal with the lack of vendor thing. And people will most likely have more fun. I look forward to having more...

    Spyderfest 2015 Ride Routes

I suggest having a tailgunner as well as a leader; and comma actions between the two. Our experience in the past was that on each ride we were on, part of the group got separated when going through towns because of lights, stop signs and traffic.

trailering 2 RTs at the same time

2 Bike Trailer We sometimes haul our two Spyder RT's on a car hauler. The front bike is parked on the diagonal and the second bike is parked straight on nosing into the first bike. We remove both windshields even though we have a "nose" cover on the trailer. We pull with a Dodge Ram. No...

    Haevier seat

I have a similar problem. When I stop for gas, I remove the gas cap and place it under the rear of the seat to serve as a block and keep the seat elevated until I get the bike filled. It is a bit of a nuisance but until i find a stronger shock, it will work.

    Digital Compass and Temp Guage

Has any one replaced the fuel gauge after disconnecting it with a digital compass/thermometer? I saw an add for one that appears to fit in the hole but it requires 2" of depth. It is an expensive gauge (several hundreds of dollars) but it would be helpful used in conjunction with my Garmin and...
