• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    12 volt socket adding another?

I have installed a 12 volt socket on the spyder but was thinking the other day it might be nice to have two one on each side of the handlebars. Anybody done this without hiccups, blown fuses etc, thanks.

    Nice ride today!

Nice Ride Thru Mule Pass Nice ride the past couple of days to Silver City, NM. Thru Mule Pass that is full of twisties up and down. Total trip was about 600 miles following some "bemer boys" and their K1200's. Tough to keep up with those guys on the flats and in the twisties. Kept the speed on...

    BRP R35 Bags

I've been thinking about getting these bags, although expensive they do look pretty cool, but are they practical? In other words do they handle a lot of extra stuff like the bags on a BMW K1200? Any insight would be appreciated. The dealer quoted me a cost of $1,067 installed. Thanks

Thanks for the heads-up on steering issues!

I was looking for the right way to express myself when the same thing happened to me. You nailed the problem description dead nuts. For a matter of fact I'm taking your description to the dealer next week. Thanks

    12 volt socket-advice

12 volt receptacle dealer installed I just read the service report (normally don't) the 12V socket was installed directly to the battery, so obviously the fuse wasn't necessary. Yeah maybe the polarity is reversed. Who knows it now has become their problem. All they needed to do was test it...

    DPS..has it been fixed

DPS Question I was on a road today with some twistys. Everything was going fine after the first 50 miles. However, I noticed that when I turned slightly to the right I had to pull the handlebars a little more as if they wanted to go straight. The nudge worked each time but it did make me...

    Seat Stud Adjustment

I got a deal on the Can Am tank bag and installed it yesterday. I have noticed that the seat is now hard to close. I looked at the stud and see that it can be adjusted. Right now I have to turn the key, and press down on the seat to get it open, and its pretty hard. Anyone have the same...

Let me just say I'm not happy either

Can Am Called me after an Email I sent When I first got on this board I noticed a lot of postings about gasoline smell and even the fire issue with "some" spyders. I haven't been a biker for years nor do I have a lot of mechanical skills. Well I became concerned about the gasoline smell issue...

RT engine vs Gold Wing engine

The Real Issue Let's face it guys, all the tech talk is okay BUT the Spyder is a chick magnet. I've had more women want to sit on the Spyder than would ever want to sit on a GW. (Haven't told my wife yet).

    High Beams/Low Beams

I just completed my first trip with my cycling buddies. One of the first things they had noticed about the spyder on the highway is that the low beams were not very bright. They suggested that I keep my high beams on at all times. I thought this was a good idea since this had been recommended...

Certainly good advice. We need to cool our jets, report the problems to BRP and follow through if we fail to get answers.
