• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Stock 2013 ST Exhaust

Can the stock Akrapovic exhaust be modified to give it a louder, throatier sound? Would removing the baffles do that? If so, how hard is it to mod? Can't afford a Two Brothers right now.

    2013 ST front brakes

I have a little over 3500 miles on the 2013 ST I bought a few weeks ago. The last couple of days the front brakes have been squeaking badly until they get really hot. Is this just brake dust? Or do they need to be adjusted or replaced?

    Spyder backrest

I found someone locally who is selling a backrest setup. He says it came off a 2009 RS. Will I be able to fit this on my 2013 ST with the OEM seat? Posting pics of what he is selling and the back of my bike:

    Is this Spyder an ST?

Yup, confirmed that is the ST-S SM5. It's got the passenger floorboards as well. Rode it all weekend. What a blast. Took me a little while to get used to not having a front break lever or having to put my foot down at stop lights.

    Is this Spyder an ST?

Thanks. Gonna call Can-Am and try and find out why it's messed up on their website. Whenever I put in the VIN to get an insurance quote, it showed up as an ST.

    Is this Spyder an ST?

So I just picked up a 2013, and according to the owner it is an ST SM5. However, when I ran the VIN through the Can-Am website to see if there were any recalls, it comes up as an RS TS 991 SM5. To me, it doesn't look like an RS. You sit up tall in the saddle, unlike the RS I test drove. The...

    Buying my first Spyder

Thanks for the info. I am also looking at a 2015 RS with 5100 miles. Only upgrade is LED lights. I can get it for $11K. No accidents, all service records. The '08s are going for $7 - $8K, so I think for a few thousand more, I'd be better off with the 2015.

    Buying my first Spyder

I am looking at buying my first Spyder. I am looking at a couple of 2008 models, both with approximately 29K miles. What in particular do I need to look for? I've ridden sportbikes and Harleys for 30 years, so I know my way around a bike. I would just like to know what particular issues to...
