• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Frustrated

I can not remove the cover between the taillights on my ST. I removed the one screw right in the middle of the cover but there must be a second one that I can not locate. Anyone know where it is located? Thanks, ShadyGrady

    Cat delete on 2014 RTL

photos Did you take any photos of the bypass before you installed it? I am going to take my cat off next week and take it to a few muffler shops to see if I can get one to fabricate a bypass for me. Thanks, ShadyGrady

    Spyderfest

Thanks Joe Thanks Joe. Your thread is very helpful. My wife does not ride and she hates motorcycle events of any kind. So I will be riding alone. Do most of the guys and gals who left their significant other (politically correct enough?) at home tend to stay in one of the 4 hotels in...

    Spyderfest

Dumb question from a new guy: What is Spyderfest? Is there a web site where I can see a complete overview (dates, location, participating hotels, activities, participating vendors, main attractions in the area, etc.). I attend Americade annually and would love to attend a rally outside of the...

    Modifying stock ST exhaust

Thanks Colin Colin, I know you are right - a cat by-pass is inevitable but I just can not justify paying $400 for 3 pieces of exhaust pipe welded together. I will pull mine off over the winter and take it to a couple of local muffler shops to see if one will fabricate one for me. Even with a...

    Modifying stock ST exhaust

Thanks Dan, Thanks for the offer Dan, but I will pass on the yellow heat guards. The red was just too bright and I painted the whole exhaust system flat black with super high heat manifold paint. I will post photos tomorrow. I am still looking for a good deal on a Yoshimura or Two Brothers Dual...

    Modifying stock ST exhaust

Heat Shields Dan powder coated a set of heat shields in Lipstick red to fit the stock muffler he gutted and shortened for me. Love 'em or hate 'em - you have to admit that they they give the ST a little swagger.

Help with Custom Dynamics Smart Triple Play Install

Issue Resooved I rewired the harness for the turn signal to function as run/turn/stop and the taillights to function as run/brake only. Do not know why it worked but it did. Everything is working as it should. ShadyGrady

Help with Custom Dynamics Smart Triple Play Install

I installed Custom Dynamics Smart Triple Play module and LED Tail Lights on my 2013 ST today. I thought I had everything covered. I turn on the key but do not start the engine and everything functions as it is supposed to. But as soon as I start the engine and the front lights come on the turn...

    Handlebar Risers for 2013 ST

Thanks Coz, Thank you Coz! I found the thread. Now that is what I call creativity. Simple and inexpensive. Using the Custom Dynamics EZY Riders and mounting them as shown not only works, but is is also inexpensive, relatively easy to do yourself, and can be taken back to stock at any time as...

    Handlebar Risers for 2013 ST

Will any of the available aftermarket handlebar risers fit a 2013 ST? I have checked the websites of Helibars, Kewl Metal, ISCI, and Rivco. None of them list fitment for a 2013 Spyder ST. Has anyone either found another supplier or found a way to adapt one of the kits for 2012 and earlier Rs's...

    Ultimate Lowrider Seat

I am a leather guy Dave at Ultimate went out of his way to answer all of my questions but in the end I am a leather guy. I have been using leather saddles for years and I really like them. It is down to Russell Day Long or Corbin for me.

    Can-Am Comfort Seat

Thanks Cuz Thanks you Cuz. I doubted the claims on ebay that it was leather. I personally prefer a seat that is both more comfortable than the stock seat on long rides (although the stock ST seat is not bad), is more stylish, and is leather (at least on the seating surfaces). I hear all of the...

    Can-Am Comfort Seat

Can anyone confirm that the Can-Am Comfort Seat (part # 219400416) is leather or vinyl? I see it advertised as "Leather" by 2 ebay sellers while other sellers make no mention of it being leather at all. I read the copy from Can-Am which describes it as "stitched skin" which would make you think...

    Ultimate Lowrider Seat

Low Rider vs. Tall Boy Thanks Des, I am just going by their website which shows both a standard and a Low Rider seat currently available for the RS and ST. According to their site the Low Rider moves the rider 2" closer to the handlebars - which makes sense to me. I believe the Tall Boy is a...

Trouble reattaching cable to frunk lock

Thanks CuznJohn Thanks John - simple but effective. I managed to hold the cable in the needle nose pliers with my right hand and sneak my left hand underneath the cowling . I managed to work the cable back into the slot with my left hand while maneuvering the cable with the spring pulled back...

Trouble reattaching cable to frunk lock

Help! Just installed the BRP Can-Am Fog Light Kit on my 2013 ST. It took longer than I thought it would (of course) but I have it installed and almost everything working as it should. One big exception -reattaching the cable to the frunk latch. I removed the cable from the latch so I could drop...
