• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Can-Am Jacket

I have found the same on BRP sizes. I to have an new XL first owners jacket that never fit. I went out and bought a large and it fits better but not perfect. I also bought a black BRP jacket in large the fits differently then the other one. Got to try it on before buying!

    DCPR8EIX Iridium plug. THANKS LAMONT!!!

Thanks Scotty. My 2010 RT does start hard when hot. Sometimes it takes three times. My tech guy told me it had something to do with throttle closing when shut down hot. Must have something to do with emissions or something. He also told me some Spyders have had fouling issues. I can't imagine...

    DCPR8EIX Iridium plug. THANKS LAMONT!!!

Just wondering why the hotter plug in the 11's and up? What's different in those engines that they can use a hotter heat range?

    Grease front end

The right 90 I bought a 90 and it works but it Is a short one and it is still hard to do. The fitting change to a 90 would be easier thing in the long run but a job to do.

    Where Did My Oil Go?

I agree with you. This is the first unit I have owned that I have added oil to. If I wasn't having so much fun driving my Spyder I would get rid of it!

    12,000 Mile service

I was answering another post agreeing that my tech guy said he did not think a valve check was nessasary. I was the one that mentioned warranty and said that I was OK on not taking the valve covers off yet. I am just covering my bases in case I need a warranty issue covered. I am more concerned...

    Where Did My Oil Go?

One quart in 3000 miles is acceptable and they all use some oil. Bonus is that it has a dry sump so the resivoir is may be low but the engine is full. The engine holds about 1 1/2 quarts all the time and the reserve is about 2 1/2 quarts. Hope this makes you feel better.

    12,000 Mile service

The tech guy mentioned it to me as well but I am not sure about warranty? If I insist on not checking them and I have a problem, I am in for trouble. I will mention it to him just in case he suggests that there is no need to pull the Valve covers. I know that the valve clearances are built loose...

    12,000 Mile service

It's time for my big service plus a new rear tire and those darn rear brake pads are being changed as well. My tech guy has told me he has not yet changed any shims so I am not expecting mine to be any different. It will take some time to get the valve covers off to check them though and the...

    Oil Change

Strainer? Just a question on the strainer. How does it come out after the oem clamp is cut off and the hose slips off? Does the strainer unscrew? Or is it bolted on. What should we expect to find on the strainer? Hard to believe that we find anything in the strainer with the filter taking out...

    Car Tires and BEST warranty

Thanks for the info. I have met someone that lowered rear pressure but not that much so it is nice to know someone who has. I feel that the posted 28/30 psi is to much for the Kenda as every oem tire with wear I have seen is worn in the center. I would also think that the contact patch is...

    Car Tires and BEST warranty

Wow, did you say only 17 psi in the rear??. I need to know if that is the secret to higher rear tire wear?

    Highway Pegs

Now this is exactly what I have in mind. I thought of doing it but had some thoughts about drilling through the frame and also about lowering the ground clearence. The Kewl Metal brackets shortened would allow a foot peg to go in the same location, low and just outside of the shifter and brake...

    Highway Pegs

Almost perfect Now you get the idea. Nice and low. If the brackets were shorter the foot pegs would be inboard more to my liking and with a small extension could be raised if wanted. Can you imagine what I mean? As I have said, I could order the brackets and get a shop here to cut them back...

    Highway Pegs

Thanks I will. I need something to get comfortable. My hip joints do get sore!

    Highway Pegs

Another thought I have been looking at the Kewlmetal brackets and think that if I cut them just were they bend upward and weld a piece on to mount my foot peg down low or even put a small piece to bring the foot peg up it will put my feet just outside of the brake pedal and shifter ahead of the...
