• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

if you need to... Besides, if you need to hide, you have plenty of places you can hole up until things settle down. Where I live, we have wild hogs that will eat up most, if not all the evidence... Sounds like you can take care of yourself, just saying you are not alone. Plenty of 'family'...

    Insurance questions...

So I should be getting my baby tomorrow... Who would you suggest for insurance? What kind of coverage? What kind of deductible? I have contacted Geico - they offer $564 for the year. That's the only one so far, and then thought about asking the experienced ryders. Thanks in advance!

    Ran outta gas today

Love it! If I practive enough before hand, I get to go on my first ride (127 miles). That will probably give me an idea on how far I can go. My plan, once I am comfortable with my new baby (I get it Saturday!!!!!) is to use her as my daily commute. My 'cage' is 29-30 mpg, so I'm not...

    OH MAN!

I agree. I think you can add stuff later, right? I like that they are adding more stablility - for less vibration. My husband wants to get a bike (so he can ride with me), but has some serious metal in his back (so vibration hurts). I like the new orange color, but I like my yellow.:D

Exactly. I live out in the country and live on a fairly private road. No one comes down here unless invited. Like that country song says, "..protected by god and a gun. You're likely to meet both if you come around uninvited son."

    some baby questions...

update Update -- the dealership (love South Texas Suzuki) will deliver her to the house Saturday evening. They'll bring all the paperwork. I got good financing (6.9% for 60 months) - I can make the payments with ease. So, Sunday morning (god willing and it's not pouring), I should be riding...

    Almost hit a person today.

wow I saw this thread and I'm glad that it seems to have a good ending for you. I'm pretty sure she won't be coming back. Depending on how many animals she has/had - could the neighborhood take on some of them? On another note - when I saw I-10, I got all excited, because I-10 runs...

    some baby questions...

I measured the trailer this afternoon (first day in about seven where it stopped raining). The Spyder is 59.4 inches across, and the trailer is 58 inches across.. :helpsmilie:

    She is on her way!

I spoke to the dealership today, and the financing went through  I can expect my sweet Spyder by Saturday, hopefully. I can't wait, but I'll have to. omg. :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

    some baby questions...

That's pretty consistent. Sounds like you keep great records (I do that too). Thanks! I need to call the dealership tomorrow (they are closed Sunday and Monday), so I can see that the machine is tagged as mine. Still need to do financial stuff, but that baby is meant to be mine. The...

    some baby questions...

Too cool, thanks! I have a Miata, so that's easy to picture (she's in the driveway, wasting away - I need to put in a new clutch or gear box. I don't have a place to put her up so I can get my hands dirty). Next question.. will she (the Spyder) fit on a normal trailer? I have a trailer...

    some baby questions...

I am in the process of buying a Spyder (RS, 2009). Can anyone tell me what the average mpg you have experienced? How hard is it to park one of these beautiful machines? A regular parking spot? Thanks! I can't wait - soooo impatient...:gaah:
