• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Clicking noise

Why would it be the front brakes? It's clicking as I move. Do you think the brakes are rubbing? I think I would have smelled that... I can check them when I get home tonight (open to any and suggestions). :chat:

    Clicking noise

That's it! It went away (I thought) when I rode up to meet the Spyders ride yesterday. We rode up the hills (lots of twists) for about 8 or miles, and then stopped for gas. When I was slowly down to stop at a pump, I could hear it again. We decided to go ahead and ride (about 100 miles...

Another company to make a reverse trike?

I had a MP3 before I got my Spyder. I did enjoy riding her - she twisted, leaned, great on the curves. I liked the fact that if you hit a pothole, the second wheel protected you more than the usual two wheels. What I didn't like was I had electronic issues -- if the engine was warm/hot...

    Clicking noise

I got home late enough to not be able to look at it much (I hate the fact it gets dark so fast now). I was able to at least run my finger on the underside of the belt, but of course, it would not be that obvious... Tomorrow, I'll check. I don't want to ryde without knowing what the sound is...

    R/C Toy spyder

    I haven't found one. I couldn't find it online either. :(

    some baby questions...

Right now I am sitting at 29.4 -- I filled up once, and during the last (first) ryde, I topped off (3 extra gallons) since it was an opportunity. Pretty cool. My car gives me 30, so I didn't buy Charlotte for the gas mileage, but I do like riding better than driving. :f_spider:

    Clicking noise

me too! Me too... I think it may be more of a bearing issue, from reading some of the thread (thank you for that, by the way). It reminds me more of the sound we use to make on our bicycles (playing card attached with a clothespin). I'll call the dealer tomorrow. I really...

"I DID IT!!!" or "I completed my first loop"

I rode to work today... I think I am going to try and ryde in once a week. Today was fun! I was a little concerned over some sounds I was hearing coming out of my little girl, but, it was so much fun to ryde into work! It is about 30 miles to work from the house, and there are so many...

    Clicking noise

Greetings to all! I got to ryde Charlotte today to work (FUN!). It was casual day, so I got to wear jeans, which (to me) I needed to ryde. It was foggy - the air smelled so good, and I got fairly wet (who knew?), but I have a question... On the way in, I heard a clicking noise when I...

    Spyder Sightings

Does this count? I saw one on the side of the road, talking to one the local's police force. It was silver (the Spyder) - there was a car in front of them, so I'm not sure what was going on (was the Spyder hit?). I am hoping that nothing was wrong. It was in the middle of rush hour...

Another company to make a reverse trike?

just my opinion This is just my opinion, for what's it worth... No matter how cool a new reverse-trike, or any kind of three-wheel is, I would never buy a first year. I learned this the hard way - when you buy anything in its first year, you are an unpaid research assistant, a consumer...

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

My baby's name is "Charlotte" :2thumbs:

Rain! Another Reason to Love A Spyder

Thanks! I will look into the rain repellent. I do have a taller windshield - I tend to look over it, but it does help with keeping bugs away from me!

Rain! Another Reason to Love A Spyder

What's the coldest, rainest you've ever ridden? How bad is it before you don't ryde? It's going to be cold in the morning, and I really want to ryde to work on Fridays, but I will admit to being very much a wimp when it's cold. It's 70 out there right now but the winds are high, and it's...

"I DID IT!!!" or "I completed my first loop"

Yea, kinda fell off the face of the earth, but... Got super busy with work, and then we went to the twice yearly spritual retreat. I didn't get a chance to ryde my beloved Charlotte for two solid weeks - talk about withdrawl! But -- I climbed back onto the earth, brushed myself off and got...

A quick question (or 2) about gears

Haven't had been out to Galveston in a long time. Yea, the hills up here aren't big, but definitely winding. I think they are more for passing than for helping slower people up the hill. I like it because there is no way I am pulling onto the shoulder to let people pass (a common method...

    2010 Photo Scavenger Hunt

Thanks! I probably won't be any competition, but would be cool to see the game played out. :D

A quick question (or 2) about gears

Exactly. One of the wonderful things about 3 lane traffic (2 lanes going up the hill, one lane on the other side going down. Not usually a problem, but sometimes you have a hot rod coming up behind you (and they act upset because you are in the 'fast lane,' although it is also a turning lane)...
