• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BRP got it right!!

Yes, I've considered installing the 2014 grill, and I've considered cutting holes in the under plates and skid-guard plastic so that I can put a metal sheet behind that 2014 grill and completely block the air flow. But I think that directing more hot air under the bike will exacerbate the...

    BRP got it right!!

Not quite a wrap, I think . . . I had the recall work done last Wednesday and then rode several hundred miles over four days in temperatures ranging from the upper 60s to the high 90s. A few weeks ago I had to put up with excessive heat under the upper area of the bike when temperatures went...

Additional audio and micro USB under a side panel . . .

It's a Garmin Zumo 660 Motorcycle GPS I couldn't remember the model number off the top of my head. I wanted the 665 model because of the advanced features (weather, traffic, XM radio, etc.), but the dealer told me the mounting hardware and 660 package was only thing available at that time. BRP...

Additional audio and micro USB under a side panel . . .

Thanks Bob Thanks, Bob. I had a Garmin 650 installed in the handlebar cradle when I purchased the Spyder but didn't mention that in my question. The audio feed is worth investigating. It may be worth the effort to plug in headphones to check if audio from the GPS can be heard simultaneously...

    No more heat

Looking forward to the recall mod being done in a couple of days Your posts have made me excited to see the difference. My service will be done this week. I'm still getting cooked, but it hasn't stopped me from riding.

Additional audio and micro USB under a side panel . . .

Any idea why there's an additional micro USB and audio jack under the driver's right-hand panel, located on the side about where the backrest is and zip-tied to the frame? They're on a 2013 RT-S, and it has to have come that way because I bought it new. I guess the side panel is supposed to...

    Helmet and comms device

UClear 200 models are working well My wife and I use the UClear 200 model for helmet-to-helmet and bike-to-bike communication, and we like the quality. After thousands of miles of test rides we encountered our first problem, and it was the oddest source — the manufacturer. A firmware upgrade...

    Spyder and Parallel Steering?

    I suppose . . . Dare I bring up one of the most basic necessities . . . butt comfort. ;)

    Spyder and Parallel Steering?

Less rider torque Thank you for that well stated reply. As a new Spyder owner I'm just beginning to get the feel for the way she moves. And I've ridden other motorcycles of varying sizes (250 to 1800cc) enough to have learned to appreciate the momentum shift when "opening the hinge" for...

    Spyder and Parallel Steering?

Would someone tell me why the Spyder was not designed to lean? Is parallel suspension less stable or is it simply too difficult to engineer. I'm referring to the type on some that do:

No more heat to my right leg

A fan combo is the solution I've been looking for! I hesitated to install the right side vent block I purchased for my RT-S 2013 because of concerns about holding too much heat in. Now that I've seen your idea I think I'm going to go ahead and install the vent block AND add a fan to the bottom...
