• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Checking the oil level

Does everyone follow the book exactly to check the oil level? The owners manual says to go for a ride of at least 9 miles, then let the engine idle for 10 minutes, shut down the engine and then check the oil within 2 minutes. Just wondered how other people were doing it? Has anyone compared...

    Gearing problem

Call your dealer and have them check your transmission control module. These are a known problem on the F3. They get debris in them and don't' function properly. There is a safety/warranty campaign out on them, so it shouldn't cost you anything to have it replaced.

Turn signals not turning off on their own

Thanks for the replies so far. I figured the LED's on the bumpskid didn't have an effect on the turn signals, but just wanted to put that in to rule it out. The switch is returning freely to the center position without getting hung up or sticking at all. Now, obviously I can't see behind...

Turn signals not turning off on their own

My turn signals recently stopped turning themselves off after I make a turn. They will shut off after the 30 second time out, but not after the turn is complete. I recently installed the Spyderpops bumpskid with LED's. The LED's are wired into the right side fender lights per the...

To laugh or not to laugh..... Oil Change/service pricing!

I noticed the issue. Wasn't hard to tell something was wrong. After it was up to temperature, the bike wouldn't shift from N to 1. You had to let it cool all the way down before it would shift out of N again. The dealer took it, replaced the module, and I haven't had a problem with it since.

To laugh or not to laugh..... Oil Change/service pricing!

Apparently there were some units that came through with debris in the transmission control module. There is a warranty/safety campaign out on it. The dealer checks the module and replaces it as necessary. If you call your dealer and give them your VIN they should be able to look up if yours...

To laugh or not to laugh..... Oil Change/service pricing!

Yes, all of that was done for a total cost of $246.41. The chassis reinforcement affects all 2015 F3 & F3-S. The rear shock mounting point at the top where it attaches to the frame has the potential to crack the frame. So they came out with a chassis reinforcement fix to prevent any cracking...

To laugh or not to laugh..... Oil Change/service pricing!

Hollinger's Sport N Turf in Ephrata, PA. (I take my F3-S here for service) Leisure Sports N Turf in Spring City, PA. This is a sister store to Hollinger's. (I purchased my F3-S from this location) They both are excellent to deal with, from sales, to parts, to service. All the way around...

To laugh or not to laugh..... Oil Change/service pricing!

Seems like some of the dealers are really taking advantage of their customers. I never felt I was being taken advantage of at my dealer. I was just in two weeks ago for... ~ 3,000 mile first service ~ laser alignment ~ chassis reinforcement ~ state inspection total bill was $246.41.

HMF exhaust just installed on my F3-S (sound clip)

The one on my bike in the video was $599.99. However, HMF has a lot of options and colors to choose from. Each combo can potentially have a different price, but mostly you are looking at $550-$600. https://www.hmfracing.com/exhausts/can-am/spyder-f3/customize

HMF exhaust just installed on my F3-S (sound clip)

I just installed the HMF exhaust on my 2015 F3-S and did a quick sound clip so everyone could hear what it sounds like. I recorded the video with my phone so the sound probably isn't professional quality but you will get the idea of what it sounds like. The smoke at the end of the video is...

    What function do these serve?

Do these serve an actual function on the F3-S, or are the purely ascetics? They are on both sides just in front of the foot pegs. I was thinking about possibly removing them on both side to expose more of the frame, but don't want to take them off if they serve an actual purpose on the bike...

    LED headlights

They are a little bit of a pain to change the headlights. If you take your time and go slow, it's not hard, just a pain. One thing I noticed when I put mine in... make sure the bulbs are oriented correctly in the housing. The Lamont kit comes with a little allen wrench to adjust the bulb...

    Big City Thunder Baffle

Not saying I agree with any of it. I also have the Lamonster cat delete for my F3-S. It is a choice I made, but I am fully aware BRP has the possibility of denying warranty claims I may have based on me installing the cat delete.

    Big City Thunder Baffle

It is published by BRP that it will maintain the warranty. http://store.spyder.brp.com/product/966866/219400514/_/Akrapovi%26%23269%3B_Straight_Shot_Silencer If fact, BRP claims Akrapovic is the only one that will maintain the warranty. For the authorized dealer part, I'm guessing they want...

    Big City Thunder Baffle

I agree with you, mostly. The Akrapovic exhaust is authorized by BRP to be used on their machines, so it is considered OEM (there is also an option straight from factory that has the Akrapovic muffler already installed... I believe it is the muscle attitude package). Plus, you can only get...

    Big City Thunder Baffle

It is not false information. Just because it has not happened, doesn't mean it won't. There is language in the operators guide specifically saying that if you change the exhaust from the factory OEM and anything happens in relation to that change, nothing will be covered under warranty. The...

    Big City Thunder Baffle

Yes, this will void the warranty. The Lamonster system eliminates the cat... which voids the warranty. The only thing that won't void the warranty is a straight slip on muffler.

    Belt guard options

Does anyone know if there are aftermarket options for the belt guard on our F3? The OEM one serves its function but could look much better, IMO. A carbon fiber one would look really nice.

    Exhaust / Warranty

I have a few questions about changing out my F3-S exhaust and how/if it will affect the warranty. 1 - Does changing the exhaust void the warranty? The exhaust I purchased will also eliminate the cat. (HMF exhaust with blackout option) 2 - Did anyone find that your local dealership cared you...
