• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2011 RSS will not start

Have a 2011 RSS SE5 that will not start. i have put in a new battery thinking that the old one was bad. I turn the key to on, go through the start up sequence. It turns over, but will not fire. Well, I take that back. It did fire once, and I had to keep feathering the throttle to keep it running...

    Battery tender hook up

I want to attach the battery tender cables to my 2011 RSS so all I have to do is plug in the tender. Is it acceptable to hook up the cables to the terminals under the seat? Or is it better to have them hooked straight to the battery?

Interesting! So there is already a 12V outlet lead on the left side under the plastic? i will look for that. Thank you! I did just buy a Ram Mount that attaches with an adjustable strap to the handlebars. I have not hooked it up yet, but I think it will work for my phone. Can you tell me more...

    GPS and Cell Phone Mount

Thanks RanHag. But as the picture shows, I dont have those bolts on the handlebar. So I have to look for an alternative method. do you have a picture of the 12V outlet you mounted? Did you run the wires directly to battery or somewhere else?

    GPS and Cell Phone Mount

No. There is not an accessory outlet on the bike. I do t think it matters, but I have an android phone. Not an iPhone. On my other bike, we hooked a usb outlet up and I just plug my phone into that.

    GPS and Cell Phone Mount

Here are some pictures. One is a side look of my handlebars, one shows the center of the bars, and one is of the windscreen plate. The windscreen plate seems to be made of some heavy steel. Seems to me a person could drill a few holes and mount a ram ball mount on it, put on an extension arm and...

    GPS and Cell Phone Mount

The motorcycle Dave's link might have some that will work. I will check into that further. Not sure on the other one though. I don't think my handlebar center would take any of those mounts. I will take a picture of the windscreen plate and try to post it shortly. Thanks for the help!

    GPS and Cell Phone Mount

Hi all! I recently purchased a 2011 RSS SE5. I really want to be able to mount my GPS and my cell phone to the bike and have the ability to charge them. I have looked through past posts, but am not seeing how to mount either of these things, or where to run charging cables from. Is it possible...

Steering in corners is killing me.......

This bit of wisdom was given to me a couple weeks ago as I was having the same problem. Just by doing these things, I am feeling much better in the curves. I am not as tense and worn out after a ride.

    New spyder owner with questions

Went for a little ride this evening and tried the pushing down with the outside foot recommendation. That really made a difference! I wouldn't say I am fully confident in the turns yet, but this will certainly help me get there! Thank you all for the help!

    New spyder owner with questions

thank you for the responses! I guess I was a bit worried yesterday when I rode my spyder home and it felt all twitchy and flippy. Sounds like I need to get alot more miles under my belt to get used to this new way of ryding. I really love the machine. I have drooled over them for years. I just...

    New spyder owner with questions

Just bought a 2011 RSS SE5 with about 9000 miles. Rode it 120 miles home today on mostly interstate. This was the first time I had ridden a spyder. I am coming from a Piaggio MP3 which is also a three wheeler, but it leans like a 2 wheeler. I cannot say I had fun on the ride home. I was scared...

Newbie with questions on what model to buy

I was recently in Robbinsville NC riding and was staying in a cabin in the area. the people in the cabin next to mine had a 2015 spyder and I was talking to them about their ride. They said to stay away from the v-twin model as they had a lot of issues with high RPM's at highway speeds which was...
