• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ryker Issue Alert!

I believe most owners will remark that it is "normal" to this machine. I personally do not believe the implementation is as good as it could be. With some practice, you can mitigate the clunk but it does take away from the spontaneity of operating the bike. I received a phone call this...

Mod to Cal Sci windshield mounting

The handlebars have to be perfectly straight for the storage bin lid to open in the normal mounting position. With it raised, it is no issue. Regarding the sound level, maybe be it is my helmet or some other factor... but at highway speed, there is a huge difference in wind noise being fully...

Mod to Cal Sci windshield mounting

I am right at your height but long-waisted. I ride 2-up a lot and hearing my partner via the Bluetooth helmets is very important to me. I cannot wear my hearing aids while I ride so anything that knocks down wind noise improves my ability to hear conversation. Looking through a windshield...

    First long ride. Needs Pegs.

Considered floorboards? Sure like mine. The stock pegs are not the best option for longer trips.

Yes, looking through it now. Really helps with wind noise.

Mod to Cal Sci windshield mounting

The XL still wasn't tall enough for my needs, so I fashioned some brackets and moved it up another 1-3/4". Perfect height now. Sorry for the sideways photo

It bounces a little when you hit a pothole but seems to work pretty well... Perfect height seems like.

    Ryker Windshield

I am 5'11" but long waisted. I purchased the XL on site at California Scientific. I can still pop my head over the top but mostly look through the top couple of inches in a cruising position. My lumbar support keeps my back very straight. I almost wish the XL was another 1.5" taller but maybe...

GPS now mounted above instrument cluster

I adapted to the bracket that comes with the California Scientific windshield assembly... Just drilled one hole (for the clamp screw) and used the side of the standard handlebar mounting bracket as the other anchor point of capture.

    Windshield

You can buy them online. $250 bucks. Not cheap but over the life of the bike, probably worth it for me. I drove to California Scientific so I could try on the various sizes. Note: If you have rotated the handlebars like I did to get a more relaxed and upright riding position (see one of my...
