• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now the Pitbull lift has been discontinued, is there an alternative?

I've been using a HF motorcycle jack, jack stands, and a big ol' block of wood(for the rear wheel) for over a decade. The Spyder hasn't fallen on me yet. 🤪 🤪

    Welding for fun

I'm the neighborhood welder........... A tip... snip the little blob off the wire end if using GMAW. Usually not necessary with FCAW. Right Pete!! 37 years of teaching Industrial Studies in both San Jose and Reno. @Snoking1127, What wire feed setup did you get???? Since retiring, I don't...

What can I do to get a straight shot at the Rear Tire valve Stem?

That 6" metal extension for the air compressor hose works a treat. As for laying down, a properly sized CARPET scrap works great.

Rear tire mileage - How are you people getting 10,000 + miles on Kenda tires?

This is true. works great on my 2014 RTS. On my second one, + the original crapenda, I've got 49,000+ miles now.

Getting Your Money's Worth from a Tire!

I'm sure that even a quality tire could have an incident like that if the owner wore it real thin and hit a sharp object. Looks like a one or 2 ply carcass.

Bad Vibration 2024 Can Am Spyder RT Limited - what can I do to improve my ride?

Although my Spyder is 10 years older than yours, I had a similar problem. The Dealer had to change both front wheels! 🤪 It was done without any complaint from them after a test ryde. If it's a really bad vibration, your dealer is on drugs...

300 miles in temps over 105 with low humidity ... dangerous

Pete, I was not reacting to your post. Just adding to what others had posted. I usually try to stay out of these discussions because they always turn into poor discourse.

300 miles in temps over 105 with low humidity ... dangerous

I hate to enter this climate discussion when all we want to do is ryde our Spyders. There is a factor that has not been mentioned to this point in the discussion. That is world POPULATION. In the 1890's population was about 1.5 billion. Now it's over 8.2 billion. Of course, humans have...

    Happy Birthday

Thank you, Great ryding weather here. But we really need some rain. Did get 2.5 tons of pellets to stay warm this winter.

Do you get wet riding in the rain?

Been caught in a couple of rainstorms over the last few decades. Our Frogg Toggs kept up dry and the Spyder pushed most of the rain over us at speed. But there was this one hailstorm in the middle of nowhere Nevada (Hwy 50) that hit us pretty good.

Having a blast, but have you noticed these Spyders Take an Effort To Ride?!

Having Mt. Rose Hwy a mile from my driveway has taught me a few things. Relax that grip and let the power steering do the work. I do shift off the seat on the hairpin turns and absolutely push with my feet and core muscles to counter act the centripetal forces. I feel MUCH more comfortable at...

After Information/feedback on the Freedom Windshield for 2020+ Spyder RT's - will it reduce pillion wind buffetting?

Yes, I like the adjustable winglets. They help bring in air on the hot days. About the Memphis Shades - I have their Bullitt fairing on my poor, old, slow V-Max. I made all the mounting hardware, because nobody else has.

After Information/feedback on the Freedom Windshield for 2020+ Spyder RT's - will it reduce pillion wind buffetting?

Well, all I can say is that it works for me and my passenger. And, when I had my Honda Valkyrie with and ADDED a vent in it's barn door of a windshield, the buffeting was not there any longer for my passenger with the vent fully open. It certainly is possible that the shape of the front of the...

After Information/feedback on the Freedom Windshield for 2020+ Spyder RT's - will it reduce pillion wind buffetting?

A well VENTED, fully raised windshield should have little to no passenger buffeting. My 2014 vented windshield (the one with an extra, central, adjustable vent) has NO passenger buffeting. A rack with a bag (for cover and 2 rainwear) will also help. I found this out before I learned about the...
