• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2013 RT Handling Problems

Handling problems... holding straight line. You're right... it's not you. Most asphalt roads develop a slightly higher crest in the center of the lane caused by heavy vehicles pushing down depressions in the normal wheel positions. Your rear tire is simply rolling off the crest to right or to...

    RTS VIBRATIONS

Belt Vibrations I'll bet you'll find the vibration is consistent at different RPM's (probably two) and varies a little if you are accelerating or decelerating through those rpm's. It's the belt. IT VIBRATES... Mine vibrates at 4200 rpm and 5100 rpm. It's annoying as hell since those rpm's fall...

    Bumpskid....is it needed?

Bumpskid I bottomed out big time on a narrow asphalt road where trucks had created tire grooves which left a high peak of asphalt in the center of my lane. With oncoming traffic, I could not swerve around it. It was a huge hit... knocking open both my side compartments and tearing up the...

Are there any oil change instructions for AFTER the new panel is installed.

I've yet to change my own oil but plan to do it at the next change. My dealer installed the new panel... but I'm really not sure what panel removal steps it eliminates (that was the original reason for it, right?) and I really could use some help. I've seen posts that suggests the new panel...

    MAINTAINENCE CONFUSION ON 2011 RTS

Switch to new 4600 mile maintenance schedule... only with new filters! Your figures are correct... however... if the new filters were NOT installed on his Spyder at the 3000... then he can't go 4600 miles til the next fluid change. He can only go 3000 which would put him at 6000 for the next...

    3000 mile service

No such thing as a 3000 mile service for RT (and maybe others)! I have two dealers within 25 miles (Dallas metroplex) and needed an oil and filter change. Dealer A quoted me over $300-$325 telling me the oil change MUST include "the 3000 mile service".:wrong: Dealer B quoted me $112 firm...

    New panel certificate..

Yes... That's the NEW STORY from BRP... we don't need a voucher. They told me the same thing and said just go get an oil change and the dealer will install the new panel. There are just a few problems with that advice. The Dealer doesn't have any panels... and doesn't know how to request...

Kudos to Spyderpops for their BumpSkid

Just installed the BumpSkid on my 2012 RT. Kudos to Spyderpops for producing such a substantial product with good engineering so it installs so easily. Only 5 steps to install it and every step went just as described. No surprises. BumpSkid is far superior in size and weight to the factory...

Does anyone know the pin out arrangement (or diagram) for the communications plug (and headset harness)? thanks in advance... George Argyle, TX 2012 Limited RTS SE5

    RT Vibration continues

You are correct... the vibration can be managed by letting off the throttle or accelerating through it. One problem for me is... the worst of the vibrations happen at the best highway speeds. And... it is hard to keep pace with other riders in the group when they have settled in at a MPH that is...

    RT Vibration continues

Strong Belt Vibrations on brand new 2012 RT-S SE5 2012 RTS SE5 3510 miles... I've been very happy with the Spyder so far... except... except... except... I get very consistent, strong and uncomfortable belt vibrations at the 5100-5200 rpm range in 4th and 5th gear (right in the middle of my...

Pre-charge pressure for Remote Suspension System

Thanks for the replies... but... what's the function of the pressure (mine is currently 32 lbs) that's in the schrader valve if it's not needed for pre-charge on an ACS system?

Pre-charge pressure for Remote Suspension System

The manual shows pre-charge pressures, based on rider/passenger weights) for the rear suspension for non-automatic suspension system (manual) but it does not show what the pre-charge (starting) pressure should be for automatic (remote) systems. I checked my pressure at the schrader valve under...
