• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Short Term Mixing Tire Types: Dangerous?

Yes it was Coyote. Since the rear tire is so involved as to change I thought I would let Rocky do that one as he is very good and knows the intricacies of the Spyder … but am thinking of letting Destination Power Sports here in Kerrville change the fronts in a month or so since they are...

Short Term Mixing Tire Types: Dangerous?

I keep up with reading all the tire threads here but do not recall having come across any discussion of this subject: 2021 RTL In need of a rear tire VERY soon...within 2000 more miles, per dealer at 9,300 mile oil change.... I am at 10,000 miles now. Dealer has a Kumho tire he will put on...

2020 RTL - thoughts from the first 200 miles

Told you you would like it!! Our neat ride to Willow City Loop did indeed yield Blue Bonnet sightings.. we were surprised and pleased. They should be bountiful in a couple of weeks. Come on over and enjoy the ride and the flowers! By the way… what color scheme is the new ride?

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

Got mine the other day. Installation was easy-peasy and quick. Rode 108 miles yesterday.. some of it in a congested traffic area with several turns.. it worked like a champ.. first time, every time!! Showed it off to other Spyder riders in the group… now they want one too. Thank you, thank...

Moving to a 2020 RTL from a 2013 RTL. What do I need to know?

You're gonna like the heck out of it!!! Relax and ride it up to Kerrville for some good riding. We heard there are a few Blue Bonnets popping out early due to the warm temps... running up to Willow City Loop tomorrow to see what we can see - albeit early. :congrats:

Recommendations wanted - Best cover for 22 RT?

A friend had the same problem with cats... was told to spray the ground and bottom of bike cover with regular vinegar as the advisor said cats hate the smell of vinegar. He said it seemed to work for the 3 nights he tried it as his trail cam caught the cats coming to the bike and passing it...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Rode to dealer for 9300 mile oil change and full service. 27* when I started out - thank GOODNESS for modular helmet, heated gear, seats, and grips. All systems GO... no problems found. Did advise the rear original Kenda tire had about 2000 more miles left on it. Had the top box shock replaced...

Helibars: Are they really Worth $629?

They were certainly worth it to me. Installed on my 2021 RTL. Easy install. Only thing you have to be aware of is, at first it looks like the wiring is too short - but BRP bundled a bunch of wire up under a clip.. need to cut the clip to get the wire loose then there is plenty of length. Once...

Your experience/thoughts on Spyder vs Other Trikes?

His “dump truck” steering experience could very possibly be that the Harley did not have a rake kit. A rake kit makes all the difference in ease of steering on the motorcycle trike conversion or the Harley factory Tri-Glide. It is an add-on for a Harley trike. The Tri-Glides do not come from...

RT vs RT-Ltd - Lin-Q/trunk removal & effect on wind?

My 2021 RTL came with the removal tool. That’s it to the left of the plug. Well, shoot.. the pic posted upside down.. sorry…so as it appears here the removal tool is to the right..lying loose in the trunk.

Your experience/thoughts on Spyder vs Other Trikes?

Loved my GL1800 Gold Wing IRS Motor Trike conversion. No one within 300 miles to service/fix the trike kit part in case something went wrong. Reluctantly sold it and purchased a 2021 Spyder RTL. It isn't my Gold Wing but its a really nice, comfortable vehicle and it's dealer is only 46 miles...

Just rode my new 2022 RT home - got a lot to learn!

Really do enjoy my 2021 RTL. I DID change the handlebars out to a set of the extremely customizable Heli-Bars to get rid of the between-the-shoulders pain I experienced with the factory bars. Also added a Utopia driver's backrest - something I have had on quite a few previous bikes and a...

Other than better luggage design are the 2020s that much better than a 2014?

Quit messing around… go to the dealer… look at a 2020+ RT or RTL.. sit on it.. ride it if they will let you. Just get ready to buy it cause you will really like it. Just beware… the dealer will have either spec air in the tires or more.. but I can tell you that makes for a squirrely handling...

Would be nice to have a 2020 & Up RT only category on here

I agree with having this new forum put up. Oftentimes I am reading through a whole line of posts only to discover that often people are accidentally, albeit with good intentions, responding with ideas/fixes that relate only to pre-2020 models in some way and therefore not relevant to the...

Did you keep your bike stock ??

2021 Spyder RTL Stock except for: Heli-Bars Added foam grips Added Utopia driver's backrest Added BRP upper and lower wind deflectors Added the handlebar end caps from Pierre in Canada - red - makes a quick eye-catcher to go with the Marsala and Black Added the big finger-grip thingy...

Recent Issues and Concerns Regarding Dogs / Animals in Restaurants

I have noticed recently in our area signs at entryways that say service animals are welcome - NO pets. I believe people are respecting that. Maybe you could ask the city council where you live if they would do something like that. Seems to me its much the same as cities banning smoking indoors...

    Are 2022 RT's Speed limited?

Don't know. I do know my '21 RTL will easily and smoothly run 95mph in 6th gear with 2 riders but haven't had the need to try and push it above that... yet.

How do you adjust lumbar support on a Utopia Backrest?

I ziptied a rubber doorstop, or also called a door wedge, to the main bar behind the pad. Gives just the right amount of “tilt” into my back from the straight up and down original position.
