• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Should we wait for ordered '22 RT or buy available '20 RTL?

The original factory warranty is 2 years - right? So if I bought a '21 in 21 I don't need to buy the B.E.S.T. until just before the original runs out in '23? Thanks... just double-checking as I asked the dealer about this 1 year after I bought the '21 and found they had put the wrong warranty...

    Leaving key in ignition

I do not leave the key in the car's ignition in a locked garage as I think a thief would likely steal it... most thieves know how to start a car.... as opposed to... I do leave the key in the Spyder in the same car garage as I hope most thieves would not know the sequence one has to go through...

    Leaving key in ignition

I only take the key out when on a ride and stop to leave the bike unattended. My Spyder is in a locked garage otherwise and the key stays in the ignition, as did all my previous bikes… no problems have ever been encountered.

Filing Federal Tax return question, again....

Did you send your envelope "Certified Return Receipt Requested"? If you did you should have gotten your green return receipt that proves where/who/when it was delivered to. If you do not have the green receipt back yet you can still track it through the tracking number on the certified form...

2020 RTL - Should the passenger audio and heated seats switch be illuminated?

My 2021 RTL passenger audio control pad does not light up either… but the passenger heated seat and heated grip controls do.. I think it odd that both passenger control stations do not light up… Carla

    Old Habits die Hard

I guess riding a shy-prone horse for so many years before 2-wheel, then 3-wheel bikes created a muscle memory I am thankful for. Makes your body “ready” to circumvent quick unexpected moves by the vehicle…like this Spyder RTL..various unseen road anomalies which, at speed, grab the Spyder’s...

How long for break in & what Gas mileage should I expect after?

I drive a 2021 RTL. Right now it has 6,491 miles. The dealer-supplied first tank of gas gave me 40mpg using ECO mode at interstate speeds. Since then it has settled to a consistent 37-38mpg using 93 octane in Eco mode…driving the speed limit wherever, with twisties, but not racing to push the...

Is this a good deal? Want to buy in a few hours. Please help as I’m very novice

This Spyder came up for sale a very short time after I bought a brand new 2021 RTL…. I would have snatched this one up in less than a heartbeat otherwise. I think the one you are looking at is MUCH over priced. The new models of 2020 and 2021 are nice machines.

I have decided my 3rd biggest HATE is...

If its just a fuel stop… with maybe a quick trip inside the store… I leave the modular helmet on… takes too much time to remove the glasses, take off the helmet, set it somewhere to not worry about it falling or theft, fuel the bike and whatever… then put it back on, put the glasses back on, get...

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

I don’t typically refer to my rides by name but I really liked the look of the 2021 Spyder RTL I bought …. thought she looked so good and kindof sexy, different from previous models of Spyders and the standard 3-wheeled trikes… I refer to her as SNAZZY !!

How would you rate your Spyder Dealer?

:yes: Agree! Coyote Powersports and Rocky at Boerne, Texas are NUMBER ONE !! and thankfully only 46 miles from me in Kerrville! Even though the wretched, very long and drawn out road construction makes them difficult to access, their reputation continues to see them open and busy...

    Sticky For TIres

2021 RT Limited – first 1K miles – observations and questions

My 2021 RTLtd with right at 6,000 miles: Has a significant clunk to reverse - even after good warmup. The fan comes on just as yours does. The heated seat performs exactly as yours… as well as the heated grips get quite hot and stay that way until I turn them off. I too want to change the tires...
