• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are you retired from or currently working at your "dream" job?

I am one of the few around here that is still in the prime of my profession. I graduated from veterinary school 21 years ago and am looking forward to another 20 years or so in practice. I always wanted to be a veterinarian even from some of my earliest childhood memories and it has been pretty...

Another Spyder F3-S found a new happy owner.

Welcome 48 years old here, bought the same bike a few months ago and took a road trip with my dad cross country in Oct. from SC to Washington state. You might say that it was a bucket list trip for us.

    Black hills

I have actually just gotten back from a 4000 mile trip to South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Washington. Two places that you should not miss are the loop through Badlands National Park and 16A (aka Needles Hwy) from Rushmore to Custer State Park. In fact, I rode 16A once and had...

What discount did you get on your leftover or demo?

Just bought a 2015 demo F3-S SM6 with 300 miles from a dealer in northern Maine. $13,200 OTD. $300 to ship and I pay state sales tax. I have no idea what the MSRP was, but guessing close to 40% off.

    Motorcycle tours in Europe

One of the things that I liked about both of those outfits was that there are several options as far a whether you have a guide and a chase van to carry luggage or self guided. Eideweiss has one itinerary where you basically stay in one hotel and use that as a hub for day trips. They also have...

    Motorcycle tours in Europe

I was curious if anyone has personal experience with using one of the European motorcycle tour companies. Google searches bring up two more prominent companies: https://www.edelweissbike.com http://www.mcitours.com/all_motorcycle_tours/ I was thinking that next summer I wanted to take my wife...

    Shipping a Spyder

I am in the middle of this process right now. In fact my new F3S is to be loaded at the dealer in Maine this morning and will arrive in SC the day after tomorrow. The dealer loaded it on a pallet, strapped it down and shrink wrapped it for me. We are using Roadway as the carrier and total cost...

    We're Shopping Tomorrow...

I'm with Bob. I kind of like knowing who sat on my throne the last time it was used. Sarge, how wise of a financial investment was that Spyder? You know they depreciate too.

Is there a reason no one has mentioned Ultimate seats? I was considering one of their reduced reach seats.

New Spyder Ryder in South Carolina

Hey there folks! I've been lurking around a few weeks reading all I can about these cool machines and decided to join once I got my new ride. My name is Nate and I live in the upper corner of SC, within 30 min of some really good mountain roads. From what I can gather I may be a little different...
