• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How to open rear trunk, if won't unlatch with handle.

I am glad that you got that handled. Gl 1500 Goldwings had a similar issue. I was trying to decide if it would be too mean to send this. I hope you have a sense of humor.

I don't have the helmet sets yet. I am leaning towards the Cardo Packtalk. I do not ride in a pack but I like the idea of being able to talk to my friend on another bike when he is more than a few hundred feet away.

My 2012 RT has developed Windshield Sparkles! Anyone else? Any ideas to fix, or just replace?

+1 on the Plexus, great product. To clean windshield, it is easy if you lay a soaped wet rag (t shirt) on the shield for 10 or 15 minutes. Bugs come off easily. FYI Windshields on motorcycles are meant to be looked over, not through. According to National Cycle, (largest producer of...

Thanks guys. If I understand this correctly, the gizmo (dongle?) that Motorcycle Dave sells, will allow me to listen to the bikes radio on my Bluetooth equipped helmet. Right?

I have not yet changed my Spyder oil. The mechanic at my local dealership talked me through the procedure and I remember him saying that I should elevate the front ( I think left) to prevent oil spilling when removing filter. Remember that I have not yet done this, but It might help to put a...

    Rain Gear?

1974 22 year old and I knew everything. Brand new Norton,on my way to Sturgis. As I crossed the State line into MN, It began to rain. No problem, I've got it covered. I stopped under an overpass and put on my rainsuit. It was one of those $10.00 clear plastic rain suits from Kmart. Got back on...

Juuuust missed hitting a Deer! Great brakes on these things!

I personally have lost 3 acquaintances to deer. One was in a car. It came through the windshield. In Wisconsin, another bad time is in spring when the deer flies come alive. Deer will come running out of cover without warning.

    How safe?

I have ridden motorcycles for 53 years. Raced flat track in my 20's and in my 40's. Also did some "Iron Butt" stuff. Drive as if you are invisible. They are out to get you. Riding is not the time to relax. You need to be "on" all the time. When you are in a cage and you see a car approaching a...

    Home made hand brake

For anyone considering building their own hand break addition. It is not really a conversion if the original brake system remains. There are several factors that must be considered. The leverage afforded by the hand lever that is acting on the master cylinder. The size of the bore in the...
