• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    oil level affecting shifting?

Same Issue I'm having the EXACT SAME ISSUE on my 2010 RT-S. First to second has a delay and even a clunk sometimes. Once in a while from second to third as well. Seems to happen more after the engine is warm just like you said. My oil level is right on the money and I'm consistent on the...

    Checking The Oil For Real

I know that you're supposed to warm the engine up before checking the oil, but I've seen different input on when to pull the dipstick. Some people have said to check it within 30 seconds; others have said to wait 30-60 seconds. As you can imagine, these give two different results. So, for...

    Resetting Shifter On SE5

Too much oil is as bad for the shifting as too little?

    Resetting Shifter On SE5

Ya, that's what the tech said. Have you had it done?

    Resetting Shifter On SE5

My shifting has been a little rough in the early gears. Seems to be getting worse. I'll check the oil, though I just had an oil change recently and it was shifting fine. A tech at one of the dealers said that they can reset the shifting points, essentially clear it out and have the computer...

    Moderately Priced Rain Gear

Are you sure that's the same set? They are only $21 on Amazon. They don't have the stirrup on the pants. Is that a big deal?

    Moderately Priced Rain Gear

Frog Toggs I've been looking at the Frog Toggs. They have several choices. Is the general two-piece suit a good option?

Again, thanks foe the input. Any opinions on material type? Are some hotter than others?

    Moderately Priced Rain Gear

I'm doing a lengthy trip in August with some friends who are more serious riders than I. They told me that they ride rain or shine, so I'm looking for some decent rain gear. Any suggestions or advice? As always, I appreciate the feedback.

Spyderpops Radiator Blockoff Plate - I Have Concerns

That's a good point. Knowing that others have done it without any issues makes it seem less precarious. Thanks for the feedback.

Spyderpops Radiator Blockoff Plate - I Have Concerns

I installed the radiator blockoff plate yesterday on my 2010 RTS. The plastic panel underneath that they tell you to remove seems worrisome. It leaves quite a few components exposed, including some wiring. I'm interested to hear what others have done when installing the blockoff.

    Knees

Seems like the highway pegs aren't any farther out than the rain gaurds. Any other advantage to them?

    Knees

I move my legs back and forth to the rain deflectors. That definitely helps. Still gets to my knees on long rides though.

    1st to 2nd Gear

I've been shifting a bit higher (30+ mph). That seems to smooth it out a little.

    Knees

My knees hurt a bit on long rides. Has anyone tried knee wraps or leg stockings while riding?
