• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Glue to reattach black vinyl/rubber trim to back edge of helmet?

We have had our Spyder for 3 months now and our helmets bought the same time. I had problems with my trim about a month into it. Tried a couple of things that didn't work. Then my husband bought Loctite all purpose Go2 glue and after 2 months, still holding great. Made by Henkel corporation.

Making the decision to ride or not in rain

Thanks everyone. We do need to go out and get something better than what we have. My husband has a windshirt (his golf gear) which will keep his upper body dry, but not much else. I have a regular rain jacket with a tie around the waist, which was what I had on hand. We have been looking...

Making the decision to ride or not in rain

Let me start off by saying my husband rode dirt bikes 40 years ago and I had never even sat on a motorcycle until 3 months ago when we bought our Spyder RT. We planned on a trip to Asheville, NC, making a trip over the mountains to Tennessee. The weather report was good up until 2-3 days...

    Riding with arthritis

Mike, my husband says he doesn't want to do all highway, but he doesn't want to take 3 days to get there either. I am still getting used to tractor trailers when they pass us when we are going about 60-65 mph. I just hope we have a good trip. We are retired, so time isn't an issue. Thanks...

Look what my husband bought me!!!

Hey, don't laugh but my husband took the online test for North Carolina. When he got to the DMV the questions were different. He passed by the skin of his teeth. He had only ridden a dirt bike, 40 years ago up in Maryland. But he did fine on the driving test.

    Riding with arthritis

My doctor is great, but he is moving so we have to find another one. He has discussed all my issues: carpal tunnel, Achilles tendonitis (which started up for the first time summer 2014) and as far as the foot tendons go he did say to stretch them. I have been on Naporsyn (naproxen) for over...

    Riding with arthritis

Thanks for input. I had my second child almost 29 years ago and when I had the epidural they hit the sciatic nerve. I haven't had any pain until today on that side, had a cramp. We got to a red light so I readjusted my sitting position which seamed to help. I had minor pain a couple of weeks...

    Riding with arthritis

I am in my 50s and have arthritis. I have carpal tunnel and I've had 3 surgeries. So far, this hasn't been an issue with my hands because they are held straight when I ride as a passenger. I don't drive the bike. I have noticed achy knees and had my husband move the foot rests. It has...

    New member intro

Newbie Hi, I am a real newbie. I never sat on a motorcycle until mid May. We bought our 2015 Spyder then. I really like it. However, we are planning a long trip and I hope I can take a ride that long. I notice where you feel many more bumps than being in a car. I'm in my 50s, have...

    Riding gear for big women

Sewing This may not work for you if you've never sewed, but I make a lot of my own clothes. There are fabric online stores that sell a category of "pleather" as well as waterproof fabric. The easiest pattern is just front back, side seams and elastic in the waist. I always make too big and...
