• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Hello from East Texas.

flamingobabe, I noticed that you live in Friendswood. My wife spent a good portion of her life in Pearland. After we were married, we lived in Pearland for a few years before moving to the Dallas area. We still have friends there and own a house there (wife's childhood home) in Sleepy Hollow...

    Thanks to Lamont

:agree::agree: As someone totally new to motorcycling at a more-young-at-heart-than-body age, this board has been nothing short of fan-freaking-tastik for me. I have read and read and learned so much about Spyders and Sypder folk here that I have lots of confidence that buying a Spyder is...

    2013 Can-Am Roadster Accessories

There was mention of a bluetooth communications system. Anyone have more inho on that? Getting a 2012 RT Limited with the full Can Am comm system. Just wondering if the new system is all bluetooth and can be installed on the 2012. May have the salesman take it off the order and just wait...

    3000 mile service

I live in Dallas and will be buying a Spyder this week. Do these filters come already on new RTs? Is this something I should ask the dealer about.? Who is dealer A? Just like to know which dealers to be cautious with. Please PM me if you don't want to post the name publicly. I've heard...

    Good deal?

My daughter's best friend, who is like a daughter to us, lives in Wylie. If you're running Bush, I live just south of there around the Josey exit.

    Good deal?

We're fortunate in the Dallas area as there are a number of dealers around. I've two within 15 minutes of me. Then Louis in Greenville is about 50 miles away and there is at least one in Ft Worth and I hear good things about the dealer in Granbury which is probably 2-3 hours from me. Gonna...

    Good deal?

Those are nice looking helmets.. but I'm gonna go ahead and stick with the Spyder communication system.. it seems to be the best choice for me at this time.

    Good deal?

Actually that is where I'm buying. It is Louis Powersports in Greenville. Google says 50 miles from my house.

    Good deal?

I did visit them just to see what the beasty looked like in person and will likely use them as my service dealer as I've heard some good things about them. Seriously doubt that they can beat the sales price from Louis... But they are really close to me as I live in Carrollton so perfect for...

    Good deal?

Thanks Scotty.. that pretty much sums up what I had concluded but you said it so much more concisely and clearly. Given that this is my first bike ever, I think the best road for me is the Spyder comm system. More expensive and wired but probably the best way for me to start with the least...

    Good deal?

I have to admit that, despite crawling all over these forums, I'm still confused about the best way to get the full integrated communication thing down. I've never riden before so I certainly don't have knowledge base of the possibilities. It seems to me that the simplest, albeit most...

    Good deal?

I hear ya cougar... but not a question I want to ask myself. If was question of need, I wouldn't be getting the Spyder. :roflblack: But I just WANT one... and my passenger; well...she WANTS the fully integrated audio/communication system in her helmet... especially the part where she can...

    Good deal?

Not sure it really matters to me what the 2013 has. This is my first bike ever and the 2012 seems good enough for me. Of course, the geek in me will want the latest and greatest but the 2013 won't have current availability and now is a great time to ride in the Dallas area... And they will...

    Good deal?

Since I didn't get a discount that thought did cross my mind... and maybe get it done with the 600 mile check. But then I would have to fork out cash at that time instead of piggybacking on the 1.99% financing my credit has given me.

    Good deal?

Well, I'm assuming that it is the BEST warranty... but definitely a good question to ask before I commit.

    XM Satellite

For my upcoming Sypder RT Limited purchase I was planning on getting the CB & Communications kit and was waffling on the XM. Will the Zumo 665 integrate with this with navigation and XM radio both coming through the wired headsets?
